Key Responsibilities:
- Organisational Design Strategy: Establish design vision and standards aligned with business growth objectives, drive design innovation as a competitive differentiator at the organisational level, develop a long-term design strategy for 2x-3x portfolio growth, and build scalable design systems and frameworks.
- Design Process & Excellence: Create comprehensive design SOPs and standardised processes, establish quality frameworks and governance mechanisms, implement industry best practices and modern methodologies, and drive adoption of advanced design tools and technologies.
- Team Leadership & Capability Building: Build and lead an expanded design team of 8-10 architects develop senior leaders (DGM/AGM level) and succession pipelines, oversee interior design function coordination, and establish mentorship programs and knowledge transfer systems.
- Strategic Design Execution: Ensure timely delivery of concept designs and sanction drawings across the portfolio, drive space optimisation and value engineering at the organisational level, integrate customer insights and market trends into design philosophy, and oversee the complete design lifecycle from concept to handover.
- Executive Leadership: Interface with Directors on strategic design decisions, lead cross-functional collaboration with senior leadership across functions, manage high-value consultant and vendor relationships, and present design strategies to the board and leadership team.
Requirements:
Educational Background (any of the following).
- Arch (Mandatory) + COA registration.
- Arch (Preferred).
- MBA or management certification (Preferred).
Experience:
- 15+ years in architecture with a minimum of 10 years managing design teams (8+ architects).
- Minimum 5 years at DGM/AGM level or equivalent to 15 years in residential real estate projects.
- Multi-project management experience (5+ concurrent projects) with a track record of building teams and organisational capabilities.
- Preferred: Experience managing a total portfolio of 30+ lakh sq. ft., background from reputed developers with 1,000+ units or 20+ lakh sq. ft. , design process standardisation and SOP development experience.
Technical Skills:
- Expert in AutoCAD (mandatory).
- BIM 360 or similar drawing management systems.
- MEP coordination knowledge.
- Modern design technologies and methodologies.
