DROPSHOP NETWORK CATEGORY DEVELOPMENT MANAGER - FMCG LOCATION : BANGALORE JOB DESCRIPTION : - Responsible for innovation in snacks, beverages, packaged product or any other new product (end-to-end: source to plate) - Formulating the recipes & developing prototype samples for cookies, crackers, sandwich biscuits and wafer. - Designing the cutters and molders for new products. - Conducting stability and shelf-life study for new products. - Scaling up of selected recipes from pilot lab to commercial lines in the factory. - Development of Ingredient & Nutritional panel for new products to meet the regulatory requirement. - Development of vendors for specialty ingredients. - Technology transfer and training the people on new technologies and manufacturing of new products. - Responsible for maintaining the recipes and bill of materials. - Recipe and product creation following the defined standard format. - Propose new product (how to make, recipe, cost etc.) - Roll out the new product to all cities. - Propose food items/ snacks that can be sold as packaged product in lounges and kiosks. - Train the staff with Vendor Management and Negotiations Techniques. RESPONSIBILITIES : - Identify and help in onboarding (Negotiations) vendor for existing and new brands, who can supply ingredients/material to stores across India and set up logistics Prepare recipes/process, along with cost efficiency, to be followed by vendors to maintain high quality of food and beverages. - Recipe Management: Track wastage over time and assess the steps to be taken to reduce it. - Conduct dipstick study to understand customer preference specific to a region and drive changes in the menu. - Study the competition and benchmark the food offerings/menu (range, refresh rate, price, cuisine, presentation, private labels). - Authorize correct recipe in the POS system.
