Job Overview
Roles & Responsibilities
- Develop and execute fundraising strategy across channels (HNIs, UHNI, family offices, institutions, platforms).
- Lead sales teams focused on PMS/AIF schemes and IB mandates (ECM/DCM/private placements).
- Build strong relationships with wealth managers, investment advisers, banks, and distribution partners.
- Collaborate with Fund Managers and Product teams to position strategies and create marketing material.
- Drive investor education initiatives (webinars, events, whitepapers) to build brand and trust.
- Coordinate with Investment Banking team for cross-sell of deals to key investors.
- Ensure adherence to SEBI regulations relating to PMS, AIF, and distribution practices.
- Implement robust pipeline management, investor onboarding, and reporting processes.
- Monitor scheme performance versus benchmarks and peer groups to refine sales
narratives.
- Provide regular market feedback and investor insights to Fund Management and IB teams.
Skills Required
- Deep understanding of PMS, AIF categories (Cat I/II/III), and IB products.
- Familiarity with fund structures, term sheets, and distribution economics.
- Strong network among HNIs, family offices, institutional allocators, and wealth platforms.
- Understanding of regulatory environment for AIFs/PMS and investor protection norms.
2. Technical Skills
- Ability to explain complex investment strategies, risk-return characteristics, and portfolio performance.
- Proficiency in performance analytics, attribution, and investment reporting.
- Experience using CRM systems for pipeline and relationship tracking.
- Strong presentation skills with ability to handle detailed investor due diligence queries.
3. Managerial Skills
- Proven leadership in building and motivating high-performance sales teams.
- Negotiation skills for commercial terms with large distributors and investors.
- Strategic thinking on product positioning, pricing, and incentives.
- Ability to work cross-functionally with fund managers, legal, compliance, and IB teams.
- Excellent communication and relationship management capabilities.
Qualifications
- 15+ years in fund-raising / distribution roles in PMS/AIF/IB or similar alternative products.
- Mandatory regulatory certifications as applicable for distribution and advisory.
