Job Details:

- To take responsibility for procurement of all RM+PM+FG for manufacturing a personal care products category across the country.

Principal Accountabilities:

- The person shall occupy a key position as part of the overall supply chain of the personal care categories like Skin care & perfumes.

- She / He shall be responsible for managing procurement operations of all All Materials for assigned categories as per planned requirements.

- Evaluate the requirements of a complex growing business, and adapt procurement processes, plan and execute to meet the same.

- It involves planning at different horizons (long, medium and short term).

- The person will be key point of contact for besides domestic vendors.

- Materials might have variabilities of global supply chains and disruptions.

- Individual must have ability to plan and should have ongoing mitigation plan to tackle supply risks.

- Key responsibility of the individual would be to ensure high level of availability of materials (OTIF/FR).

- Individuals will ensure efficient management of inventories including tracking of non-moving or short-expiry materials and coordinate with the planning team, marketing team for utilization.

- Driving responsiveness (lead time to respond to market or business driven changes) and flexibility (quick response to wide range of fluctuation).

- The person will lead the assimilation of products from new product stage into core business by closely working with NPD team and other stakeholders.

- The person will work closely with the planning team and other stakeholders to ensure transition plans are done as per desired business requirements and without obsolescence.

- The Individual will be responsible for the active resolution of all issues related to quality, specifications, revalidations, and damages/losses.

- (Corrective/Preventive action planning no. of repeat issues) related to these All Materials.

- The person will ensure close monitoring of vendor performance and drive continuous improvement on QCD (Quality, Cost & Delivery) parameters.

- Take the lead or extend support in identifying new, more reliable and / or lower cost resources of supply.

- Carry responsibility for complying with laid down systems and processes in the material, procurement, set-up new systems & fine tune existing ones to meet the requirements of the business.

- Function as a team player to implement end-to-end solutions, and digital transformation initiatives across the supply chain, including interactions with the demand planning, manufacturing and logistics teams along with vendors & other external agencies.

- He may need to manage team resources and would play a guiding, supervising and mentoring role.

- Generation of appropriate MIS and analytics on a regular basis to support performance management systems.

- Support sustainability initiatives in the business through planning transitions, coming up with suggestions, solutions and implementations.

- Drive risk mitigation and cost saving initiatives as business scale and profitability drivers.

Requirements:

Role Requirements / Specifications:

- Good analytical skills and comfort with numbers and data

Previous Experience:

- 6-12 years' experience beauty and personal care / mid-sized FMCG / Pharma etc company in the procurement or Sourcing function.

Knowledge & Skills:

- Knowledge of various materials used in the personal care industry and their relevant vendors

- Knowledge of global supply chain would be a plus

- Working knowledge of SAP/Other ERP / BY.

- Vendor relationship management.

Behavioural Skills:

- Negotiation skills of very high order.

- Excellent communication skills.

- Should have experience in handling complexity and volatility requirement.

- Strong in systems and processes.

- Strong strategic mindset

Qualification:

- B.Tech / BE from leading institutes with 6-12 years of strong and relevant experience.
