Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Senior Accounting Analyst with 3-5 years of progressive experience to join our Finance team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the accuracy and integrity of our financial records, contributing to month-end close activities, performing reconciliations, and assisting with financial reporting. This position requires a strong understanding of accounting principles, excellent analytical skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

Financial Reporting & Analysis:

- Assist in the preparation of accurate and timely monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with GAAP/IFRS.

- Perform detailed financial analysis, identifying trends, variances, and opportunities for improvement.

- Support the preparation of management reports and presentations.

Month-End/Year-End Close:

- Execute and review general ledger entries, ensuring proper classification and adherence to accounting policies.

- Prepare and post complex journal entries, including accruals, prepayments, and intercompany transactions.

- Reconcile balance sheet accounts (e.g., cash, accounts receivable, accounts payable, fixed assets, accrued liabilities) and investigate discrepancies.

- Analyze expense accounts and ensure proper cut-off procedures.

Audit Support:

- Prepare audit schedules and provide necessary documentation to external auditors.

- Act as a key point of contact for audit inquiries, ensuring timely and accurate responses.

Process Improvement & Compliance:

- Identify and implement opportunities for process improvements, automation, and efficiency gains within the accounting function.

- Ensure compliance with internal controls, company policies, and relevant accounting standards.

- Assist in documenting and updating accounting policies and procedures.

Cross-Functional Collaboration:

- Collaborate with various departments (e.g., operations, sales, HR) to gather necessary financial data and resolve accounting-related issues.

- Provide accounting support and guidance to non-finance teams as needed.

Ad-Hoc Projects:

- Participate in special projects and initiatives as assigned by management.

Qualifications

Education: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. MBA prefeered.

Experience: 3-5 years of progressive experience in an accounting or finance role, preferably in a corporate environment.

Technical Skills:

- Strong understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) or International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS).

- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., SAP, Oracle, NetSuite, QuickBooks) and ERP systems.

- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills (e.g., VLOOKUP, pivot tables, financial modeling).

Soft Skills:

- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills.

- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.

- Exceptional organizational and time management abilities, with the capacity to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.

- Effective verbal and written communication skills.

- Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team.

Preferred Qualifications

- CPA (Certified Public Accountant) or actively pursuing certification.
