Strong understanding of retail lending products, with preferred experience in Two-Wheeler, Used Car, and Commercial Vehicle loans (EV/ICE). Hands-on exposure to credit underwriting and/or product management for Auto, CV, and CE portfolios, including borrower assessment, asset evaluation, LTV structuring, and policy execution. Experience working with dealer/POS channels and cross-functional teams is desirable.
Key Accountabilities:
Credit Policy & Risk Framework:
- Design, review, and implement credit underwriting policies for Two-Wheeler / Vehicle Loan products.
- Define eligibility criteria, score cut-offs, LTV norms, tenor limits, and pricing-linked risk parameters.
- Continuously refine policies based on portfolio performance, market trends, and regulatory changes.
- Build/Validate statistical scoring models on Secured & Unsecured lending portfolios that would aid in customer segmentation.
- Understanding of credit scoring models and working with stakeholders to strategize model deployment.
Underwriting & Approval:
- Oversee credit approval processes for retail vehicle loans across POS, dealer, and digital channels.
- Handle deviations, exceptions, and complex credit cases within delegated authority.
- Ensure consistent application of credit policies across regions and channels.
Portfolio Monitoring & Analytics:
- Track portfolio performance metrics such as TTD, Delinquency, Roll rates, Bounce rates, and Vintage analysis.
- Detailed knowledge of portfolio review basis nature/market and features of product and ability to understand stress segment of the same.
- Identify early warning signals and recommend corrective actions to mitigate credit losses.
- Forecast loss for TW/Vehicle loan portfolios
- Partner with analytics teams to improve scorecards, rule engines, and risk segmentation.
Business Collaboration:
- Work closely with Sales, Operations, Collections, and Product teams for partner integration to balance risk and growth.
- Support business expansion initiatives including new geographies, dealer tie-ups, and product variants.
- Provide risk-based inputs for new campaigns, offers, and sourcing strategies.
Stakeholder Management:
- Interacting with cross functional teams and driving the credit policy agenda and ensuring correct implementation of credit policy guidelines in origination system and decisioning platforms
- Lead discussions with external stakeholders/ channel partners during engagement calls
a) Qualifications:
Minimum Qualification: Bachelor of Engineering; Graduate/Postgraduate in Finance/ Economics /Statistics/Data (with knowledge of Statistics and Python/R)
Preferred Qualification: MS/ MBA (with knowledge of Statistics and Python/R)
b) Work Experience:
- 5-10 years
- Experience in Risk Management.
- Experience in Two Wheeler/Vehicle lending
- Good to have experience in secured lending
Skills: R/Python, SQL , Advanced Excel including Pivot Tables
