Role Overview:
- The Division Head - Herbal & Ayurveda will lead the division's sales, marketing, and distribution strategy across India, driving growth and market penetration in the Herbal & Ayurvedic healthcare sector.
- This role combines business leadership, sales execution, team capability building, and market development with a focus on strengthening Geno's presence in the fast-growing Herbal & Ayurveda segment.
Key Responsibilities:
Sales & Business Growth:
- Design and execute strategies for national sales and market expansion.
- Achieve and exceed sales targets across regions in terms of both value and product mix.
- Drive effective field-selling operations to strengthen presence in target markets.
Team Leadership & Capability Building:
- Lead, motivate, and guide a team of Sales Managers to achieve business objectives.
- Provide on-the-job and classroom training on product knowledge, salesmanship, distributor control, dealer relationships, and promotional programs.
- Track performance, provide feedback, and develop team members into future leaders.
Market Development & Key Stakeholder Engagement:
- Maintain direct relationships with key doctors, institutions, government health services, and decision-makers.
- Build strong institutional business in government and private sectors (GMSD, state rate contracts, ESIS, Railways, etc.
- Actively monitor competitor strategies, distribution policies, and promotional activities, providing timely feedback to management.
Distribution & Supply Chain Management:
- Oversee smooth functioning of the distribution network across regions.
- Recommend improvements in distribution systems to ensure availability, timely dispatch, and adherence to collection norms.
- Enforce company policies on collections and ensure recovery of overdue interest, if applicable.
Strategy, Planning & Reporting:
- Implement company-wide marketing, sales, and CRM strategies in assigned regions.
- Regularly visit the field to assess operations, provide guidance, and gather market intelligence.
- Submit structured reports and updates to senior management, including Chairman/MD, on sales performance, market developments, and competitor insights.
- Play an active role in shaping policies, SVL strategies, and control mechanisms in the Herbal & Ayurveda division.
Ideal Candidate Attributes:
- Master's or Bachelor's in any related field.
- Strong background in Herbal & Ayurvedic healthcare sales and marketing.
- Proven track record of leading large sales teams and managing distributors.
- Ability to drive institutional business and government contracts.
- Strong business acumen with hands-on execution capability.
- Excellent communication, training, and relationship-building skills.
- Entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to scale business across diverse markets
