Role & responsibilities:

Function: Cross-border Ecommerce (DistaX)

Reports to: AVP - Operations & Business Development

Location: Delhi

Role Type: Senior individual contributor with end-to-end business execution ownership

About DistaX:

DistaX enables Indian brands to launch and scale their international e-commerce presence by providing a fully managed cross-border solution.

We help brands:

- Launch their own international storefront (website/app)

- Integrate with their domestic operations

- Enable global payments, logistics, and compliance

- Localize pricing, content, and customer experience

Role Purpose:

- This role is the business execution lead for global ecommerce launches.

- You will act as the second-in-command to the AVP, owning the end-to-end journey from opportunity onboarding go-live early revenue traction.

This is not a pure project management role - success is defined by:

- Speed to launch

- Quality of execution

- Ability to enable revenue generation for brands

Key Responsibilities:

1. Opportunity to Launch Execution:

- Drive structured follow-through on enterprise opportunities originated by the AVP

- Convert brand interest into clear commercial scope and execution plan

- Own the transition from sales to onboarding without loss of context

2. Commercial & Operational Feasibility:

- Translate brand requirements into practical launch plans

Ensure alignment across:

- Pricing strategy

- Catalog readiness

- Logistics feasibility

- Payment methods

Validate assumptions before committing timelines externally

3. Brand Onboarding & International Store Launch:

- Own end-to-end onboarding as Single Point of Contact (SPOC)


Drive launch of:

- International storefront (Shopify or similar platforms)

- Payment integrations (multi-currency, gateways)

- Logistics setup (cross-border shipping, returns)

- Inventory and catalog readiness

4. Go-Live & Early Revenue Enablement:

- Ensure brands are not just launched, but ready to sell globally

Drive:

a. First successful transactions

b. Payment success rates

c. Conversion readiness

- Identify and fix early friction points

5. Business Performance & Growth Enablement:

- Support brands in achieving initial traction post-launch

Identify key levers:

- Pricing optimization

- Product assortment

- Logistics SLAs

- Customer experience gaps

Work with internal teams to improve conversion, AOV, and retention readiness

6. Cross-Functional Execution Leadership:

Coordinate across:

- Product & engineering

- Operations & logistics

- Payments & compliance

- Marketing & growth teams

Ensure fast, aligned execution without bottlenecks

7. Stakeholder Management:

Work closely with:

- Brand founders / business heads

- Ecommerce / tech teams

- Operations & finance stakeholders

- Translate complexity into clear actions and decisions

8. Execution Cadence & Ownership:

Run daily execution cadence:

- Priorities

- Blockers

- Decisions required

Maintain strong follow-through:

- Clear ownership

- Timelines

- Escalation where required

Success Metrics:


- Time to launch (speed of onboarding)


- Go-live success rate (on-time + quality)

- Time to first transaction

- Early traction (orders, conversion readiness)

- Stakeholder satisfaction

Required Experience:


Must Have:


6-12 years in:

- Ecommerce (D2C / Shopify / marketplaces)

- Category / business management

- Cross-border commerce or international expansion

Hands-on experience with:

- Shopify / Magento / WooCommerce

- Marketplaces (Amazon, Flipkart, etc.)

Strong understanding of:

- GMV, conversion rate (CVR), AOV


- Logistics and fulfillment

- Payment ecosystems

Good to Have:

- Experience with cross-border logistics or international markets

- Experience working with multiple brands or categories

- Exposure to ecommerce enablers, aggregators, or SaaS platforms

Core Competencies:


- Strong business and commercial thinking


- High ownership and execution intensity

- Ability to operate in ambiguity and fast-paced environments

- Excellent stakeholder management with senior decision-makers

- Structured thinking with attention to detail

Ideal Background
