Job description:
Key Responsibilities:
Category Growth & Strategy:
- Drive revenue and profitability for the Food and Clothing categories.
- Develop category strategies including product selection, pricing, and promotions.
- Analyze sales data, market trends, and customer behavior to optimize category performance.
- Monitor competitor activity and identify growth opportunities.
Vendor Management & Onboarding:
- Identify and onboard new vendors and brands in food and apparel categories.
- Build strong relationships with vendors and negotiate pricing and commercial terms.
- Ensure vendor compliance with company standards and product quality requirements.
- Work with vendors to improve assortment, stock availability, and pricing competitiveness.
Product & Category Expansion:
- Launch new products and brands within the category.
- Develop go-to-market strategies for new product launches and seasonal campaigns.
- Manage product assortment to ensure the right mix of products for global customers.
Cross-Functional Collaboration:
- Work closely with marketing, operations, logistics, and e-commerce teams to execute category plans.
- Support marketing campaigns, promotions, and product launches.
- Ensure smooth coordination between vendors and internal teams.
Market Insights & Reporting:
- Conduct pricing analysis and track industry trends.
- Prepare weekly and monthly category performance reports.
- Identify areas for improvement and implement strategies to increase sales and profitability.
Requirements:
- 6 to 8 years of experience in Category Management, Brand Management, or E-commerce roles.
- Experience in Food, FMCG, Apparel, or Lifestyle categories is preferred.
- Strong vendor management and negotiation skills.
- Experience working with online marketplaces or D2C brands.
- Strong analytical and data-driven decision-making ability.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Proficiency in MS Excel, MS Office, and online tools.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience working with e-commerce platforms.
- Understanding of global marketplace trends and cross-border commerce.
- Ability to manage multiple categories and vendor relationships.
