Director/Vice President - Product - Payments

We are hiring a Director/VP Product Payments for a fintech platform. This is a leadership role responsible for building and scaling next-generation payment products across both consumer and enterprise ecosystems.

The mandate requires a strong product leader who has successfully built 01 and 110 payment products and scaled them across large user or merchant bases.

Key Responsibilities:

- Define and drive the product vision, strategy, and roadmap for the payments business.

- Lead the development of new payment products from concept to launch (01).

- Scale existing products across customer segments, geographies, and use cases (110).

- Own end-to-end consumer payment journeys - checkout, UPI, cards, wallets, subscriptions.

- Build and scale B2B merchant and enterprise payment solutions including gateways, APIs, and settlement systems.

- Drive platform scalability, transaction success rates, and payment cost optimization.

- Partner with business, engineering, risk, compliance, and external ecosystem stakeholders.

- Leverage data, experimentation and customer insights to improve adoption and retention.

- Build and lead high-performing product, design, and analytics teams.

Candidate Requirements:

- 10+ years of product management experience in fintech/payments.

- Strong experience across both B2C and B2B payments ecosystems.

- Proven track record of building 01 and 110 products and scaling them significantly.

- Deep understanding of payment infrastructure UPI, cards, wallets, net banking, PG, acquiring.

- Experience working on merchant platforms, payment APIs, and reconciliation systems.

- Familiarity with regulatory and compliance frameworks (KYC, AML, PCI-DSS, etc.).

- Strong stakeholder management and cross-functional leadership experience.

- Data-driven mindset with a focus on growth and monetization.

- High-growth fintech startups, Payment aggregators / gateways.
