Director/Vice President - Investment Banking/Private Equity Advisory

Role Summary:

- We are looking for a senior investment banking professional to originate mandates, lead transactions end-to-end, and own sector franchises.

- The Director/VP will be responsible for building a strong deal pipeline, winning mandates, leading complex transactions to closure, and positioning the firm as a trusted advisor to founders and investors.

- This role sits at the core of the firm revenue engine and leadership team.

Core Role Expectations:

This role has three primary pillars of ownership:

1. Mandate Origination (Primary KPI):

- Proactively originate new mandates and build a strong, high-quality pipeline.

- Convert relationships into active engagements.

- Lead pitch strategy and win competitive mandates.

- Build deep relationships with founders, CEOs, Venture Capital & Private Equity funds, family offices, strategic investors, and ecosystem partners.

- Identify emerging themes and opportunities aligned with impact sectors.

2. Transaction Leadership (End-to-End Deal Ownership):

- Act as the primary deal lead and senior client advisor.

- Drive deal positioning, strategy, investor outreach, negotiations, valuation, structuring, term sheet negotiations, coordination with legal/diligence advisors, and final deal closure.

3. Sector Leadership (Franchise Building):

- Own and lead coverage of one or more sectors.

- Become the first point of contact and thought leader for the sector.

- Build deep ecosystem relationships and sector insights.

- Develop sector strategy and long-term pipeline.

- Represent the firm at industry forums, events and conferences.

Qualifications:

- MBA (Finance/Economics), CA, CFA or equivalent preferred.

- Exceptional financial modeling and valuation expertise.

- Strong commercial judgment and negotiation skills.

- Excellent written and verbal communication.

- Designation and CTC will depend upon experience.

Experience:

- 15 years in investment banking or private equity advisory.

- Strong network across the VC/PE ecosystem in India.

- Experience managing teams and mentoring talent.

- Willingness to travel domestically and internationally.

Location:

- Bengaluru / Mumbai (1 in each sector)
