Director of Valuations.

Springhouse is seeking a strategic and results-driven Director of Valuations to lead our valuations division. This role requires an experienced valuations professional who can transform our current operations through technological innovation and process optimization to improve margins and EBITDA significantly. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of leveraging technology and implementing smart processes to enhance efficiency, quality, and profitability in the valuations space.

WHAT YOU'LL DO:

- Lead the strategic direction and P&L management of the valuations division, with a primary focus on improving margins and EBITDA through technology implementation and process optimization

- Identify, evaluate, and implement technological solutions, including AI and automation, to streamline operations, reduce costs, improve valuation quality and turnaround times

- Manage and optimise both onshore and offshore teams to ensure maximum productivity and cost-effectiveness while maintaining high-quality standards

- Develop and execute a comprehensive roadmap for operational transformation, with clear milestones and measurable KPIs focused on margin improvement

- Identify and launch new product lines and services that diversify our valuations business and create additional revenue streams

- Strategically managing relationships with third-party appraisers and vendors, optimizing the vendor panel and negotiating favorable terms

THE SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE YOU BRING:

- 8+ years of valuation experience overseeing and managing the day-to-day operations of an appraisal division, including offshore and onshore teams

- Deep knowledge of appraisal principles, methodologies, and techniques, including market, cost, and income approaches

- Direct experience managing P&L for Valuations and driving overall revenue and EBITDA performance

- Proven track record of unlocking efficiencies across appraisals, resulting in improved product margins through technology implementation

- Experience leveraging AI to automate tasks, improve quality, and elevate human input when needed

- Strong vendor management skills with a history of negotiating contracts, increasing vendor pools, and maintaining clear stakeholder communication

- Direct experience working with lender services and auction platforms that dispose of assets through platforms like Hubzu

- Expertise in implementing processes that ensure accurate appraisals aligned with client needs and changing market conditions

- Experience generating operational and performance reports focused on KPIs like turnaround times, quality metrics, and budget management

- Strong knowledge of regulatory compliance with experience in monitoring industry changes and mitigating risks

- History of collaboration with Vendor Management, Legal, and Compliance departments to ensure adherence to requirements

- Experience creating and refining policies and procedures to ensure consistency and best practices

- Proficiency with appraisal software and valuation modeling tools, particularly EVO from Global DMS

- Demonstrated ability to resolve complex appraisal issues and handle disputes effectively

- Proven and established track record of unlocking efficiencies across appraisals, as demonstrated by improved product margins, with a focus on leveraging technology to automate tasks, increase appraisal and workload capacity, while improving quality and delivering faster appraisals

- Experience in leveraging AI to automate tasks, improve quality and elevate the human when needed

- Help identify and launch new product lines and services that diversify our valuations business

- Direct and proven track record in managing relationships with third-party appraisers and vendors, negotiating contracts, increasing vendor pools, and ensuring clear communication with clients and other stakeholders.

- Direct experience working with lender services and auction platforms that dispose of their assets through auction platforms, like Hubzu

- Strong knowledge of processes that help ensure more accurate appraisals based on the client's needs and ensuring appraisals are in line with changing market conditions

- Responsible for operational and performance reports to senior management and clients, with a focus on key performance indicators (KPIs) like turnaround times, quality metrics, and budget management.

- Responsible for monitoring changes in regulations and laws to ensure all appraisal practices are compliant and mitigating risk on projects and proposals, with specific knowledge on the industry wide changes coming through.

- Strong understanding of compliance and regulatory requirements, with experience working directly with Vendor Management, Legal and Compliance departments in ensuring compliance and improving controls

- Experience in creating and refining policies and procedures to ensure consistency, compliance, and best practices across all valuation activities

- Familiarity with appraisal software, valuation modelling, and data analysis tools, with a strong preference for experience managing appraisals with EVO from Global DMS

- The ability to resolve complex appraisal issues and handle disputes
