The Opportunity: Tax Sr Director, India

- We are seeking a highly accomplished and dynamic Tax Director to provide strategic leadership for a fast-growing team of US Tax professionals in India, based out of our client's Mumbai office.

- This is a critical leadership role reporting directly to the firm's global Right Shoring Lead for Tax & Local Managing director . The Director will be expected to make a significant impact by leading, inspiring, and strategically driving the operational excellence and growth of the tax division.

Key Responsibilities:

- The Director will lead and manage the entire India Tax team, serving as the primary point of contact for the firm's global Tax leadership.

- This role is responsible for the continuous growth, development, and mentoring of the India Tax team, including the Manager group.

- The Director must collaborate closely with U.S. stakeholders to ensure the India team delivers an outstanding and seamless experience.

- Operational excellence is key, requiring the monitoring of metrics to ensure appropriate team utilization, efficiency, and optimal performance across all engagements.

- The Director will also provide strategic guidance on employee matters, recruitment, and organizational growth in partnership with local management, while driving process improvement and innovative solutions within a high-growth environment.

Candidate Profile:

Qualifications Required : The successful candidate must hold one of the following qualifications: Enrolled Agent (EA), Chartered Accountant (CA), Certified Public Accountant (CPA), or a Master of Science in Taxation (MS Tax).

Skillsets and Experience : A minimum of 18 or more years of deep experience in US Tax is required. Candidates must possess proven leadership ability in a large, challenging, and fast-paced environment. Exceptional verbal and written communication skills are essential to partner effectively with global teams. A passion for team development and a strong track record of enabling others to perform at their best is crucial.
