Role Summary
We are seeking an experienced Transition & Governance Lead to drive end-to-end transition planning, governance frameworks, and stakeholder alignment for large-scale transformation initiatives. This role requires a strategic leader who can establish robust governance structures, manage complex stakeholder environments, and ensure seamless adoption of new processes and systems.
Key Accountabilities:
- Develop end-to-end transition plans, defining scope, resources, timelines, and success metrics in alignment with business goals.
- Establish and enforce governance structures, including performance standards (SLAs, KPIs), quality checks, and regulatory compliance.
- Act as a central point of contact, managing expectations and communication between all relevant stakeholders.
- Implement strategies for training, communication, and adoption to support affected teams during transformation.
- Provide leadership, foster teamwork, drive accountability, and ensure knowledge transfer across all transition phases.
- Create and maintain detailed Transition Plans and Project Charters.
- Develop and manage Risk Registers & Mitigation Plans.
- Design and execute Stakeholder Communication Plans.
- Define SLAs and build Performance Dashboards to track and report on transition success.
Essential Capabilities:
- Outstanding stakeholder management skills up to executive level and beyond.
- Highly developed communication skills both verbal and written.
- Deep understanding of risk management.
Other Capabilities:
- Ability to distil, simplify, and summarise complex information into crisp, actionable plans.
Experience Required:
- 20+ years of experience working in transitions, transformation, and project management.
Qualification Requirements:
- Bachelors degree and/or professional qualification in an aligned discipline.
- PMP / Six Sigma certifications preferred.
- Understanding of Australian geography preferred.
