
We are seeking a visionary and deeply technical Director of Technical Solutions International AMI to accelerate our expansion across the Asia-Pacific (APAC) and European regions. Based in our strategic Singapore hub, you will serve as the definitive technical authority for our Advanced Metering Infrastructure (AMI) portfolio. In this high-impact executive role, you will bridge the gap between complex engineering capabilities and enterprise utility strategies. You will design next-generation smart grid architectures, champion technical presales cycles, and directly engage utility CTOs, regulatory bodies, and engineering teams to drive large-scale utility digital transformations.
Key Responsibilities :
- Technical Presales & Enterprise Solution Architecture
i. Architect end-to-end, high-availability international AMI solutions encompassing smart meters, communication networks, head-end systems (HES), and meter data management systems (MDMS).
ii. Act as the primary technical advisor to utility CTOs, chief engineers, and senior stakeholders, effectively articulating technical value propositions and aligning solutions with long-term utility digital transformation goals.
iii. Lead the technical strategy for large-scale international RFPs/RFIs, translating intricate grid requirements into compliant, competitive, and robust system designs.
- Connectivity & Core Technology Strategy
i. Ensure all solution designs conform to international interoperability benchmarks, possessing deep domain authority over DLMS/COSEM and related industry protocols.
ii. Evaluate, select, and architect localized communication topologies tailored to varied geographic terrains across APAC and Europe, leveraging RF Mesh, NB-IoT, LTE-M, and Power Line Communication (PLC).
iii. Capture frontline international market requirements, grid localization needs, and edge-case engineering feedback to directly influence the global product management roadmap.
- Compliance, Cybersecurity & Governance
i. Navigate varying European and APAC regulatory landscapes, ensuring solutions align with regional grid codes, metrological certifications, and data privacy mandates.
ii. Incorporate robust cybersecurity frameworks (e.g., encryption, PKI, secure boot) into the overall AMI architecture to safeguard critical national infrastructure.
Required Skills & Qualifications :
- Technical Requirements
i. Experience : 812+ years of progressive, deeply technical experience within the Smart Metering, AMI, and Utility Technology sectors.
ii. AMI Ecosystem Mastery : Expert-level knowledge of Head-End Systems (HES), Meter Data Management Systems (MDMS), Smart Meter architectures, and the DLMS/COSEM protocol stack.
iii. Telecommunications : Proven track record designing and deploying utility-scale communication networks using RF Mesh, Cellular IoT (NB-IoT, LTE-M), and PLC.
iv. Security & Compliance : Strong exposure to critical infrastructure cybersecurity paradigms, international metering certifications, and regional regulatory frameworks.
- Professional Experience & Background
i. Industry Origin : A proven career footprint within Smart Meter OEMs, Tier-1 Utilities, Metering Coordinators, Global System Integrators, or specialized Energy Technology firms.
ii. Presales Track Record : Demonstrated success leading technical presales, bid management, and solution scoping for multi-million-dollar utility deployments.
iii. Education : Bachelors or Masters degree in Electrical Engineering, Telecommunications, Computer Science, or a related technical discipline.
