Role Overview:
- The Director - Supply Chain will lead the regional Supply Chain function with end-to-end accountability for executing all operational activities related to order management and product supply across both existing and new product portfolios.
- The role focuses on building and maintaining an efficient, resilient, and well-governed supply chain and communication framework to optimally serve customers and markets in terms of service levels, inventory management, and total cost of ownership, aligned with current and future business requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage a regional supply chain team comprising planners, buyers, and team leads, with responsibility for customer service levels, inventory management, and write-offs
- Own demand forecast assessment, purchase order creation, fulfilment, and end-to-end supply chain execution within the region
- Manage supply chain master data and ensure timely follow-ups, issue resolution, and escalations with suppliers and internal stakeholders
- Standardize, harmonize, and continuously improve supply chain processes and governance to enhance efficiency and compliance
- Manage market-driven changes such as demand variability, product updates, and regulatory requirements to ensure uninterrupted and compliant product supply
- Provide regular updates to senior leadership, including key milestones, risks, resource planning, product launches, and portfolio transitions
- Monitor team performance and drive continuous improvement initiatives to achieve key KPIs including Customer Service Level (CSL), OTIF, Goods Receipts, and inventory targets
- Lead initiatives related to Goods Receipt optimization and Cash Flow Management using supply chain levers
- Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams including Quality, Procurement, Manufacturing Science & Technology, Logistics, and Strategic Sourcing teams to ensure alignment and execution excellence
Experience & Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Master's degree in Science / Pharmacy (Engineering preferred)
- 15+ years of progressive experience in Supply Chain management
- Strong experience managing complex supply chain operations within an SAP environment
- Proven leadership experience managing multi-layered teams and regional supply chain operations
