The Director - Supply Chain IT leads the strategic direction, governance, and execution of technology initiatives supporting end-to-end supply chain operations in a regulated, multi-site environment. This role ensures robust, compliant, and data-driven systems enable efficient planning, sourcing, manufacturing, warehousing, and distribution processes. The Director partners with cross-functional teams to drive digital transformation, manage complex ERP and SCM system integrations, and ensure continuity and visibility across internal and external supply networks.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Strategic Planning & Roadmap Development:
- Develop and execute a global IT strategy for supply chain systems aligned with business growth, regulatory requirements, and customer expectations.
- Define a multiyear roadmap for system upgrades, process automation, predictive analytics, and cloud enablement.
- Evaluate emerging technologies (e.g., blockchain, IoT, AI/ML) to enhance traceability, inventory accuracy, and risk mitigation.
- Partner with operations, quality, regulatory, and finance leaders to align IT capabilities with business priorities.
2. Enterprise Systems Leadership:
- Direct the deployment, optimization, and lifecycle management of SAP S/4HANA, WMS, TMS, APS, MRP, EDI, and supplier collaboration systems.
- Ensure seamless integration of supply chain systems with MES, QMS, CRM, and laboratory platforms to support an end-to-end digital thread.
- Establish data governance and master data management standards to ensure accuracy, consistency, and audit readiness.
- Oversee cloud and hybrid system deployments while maintaining regulatory compliance.
3. GxP Compliance & Validation Oversight:
- Collaborate with Quality Assurance and CSV teams to validate all regulated supply chain systems.
- Implement secure role-based access, audit trails, disaster recovery, and backup policies.
- Ensure systems support serialization, track-and-trace, controlled substance handling, and import/export compliance.
4. Performance Monitoring & Continuous Improvement:
- Define KPIs and dashboards to monitor system performance, user adoption, and supply chain efficiency.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives leveraging automation, analytics, and digital solutions.
- Promote best practices for IT governance, risk management, and operational resilience.
Required Competencies:
- Proven leadership in global supply chain IT, ERP, and SCM systems.
- Deep understanding of regulated environments and GxP-compliant IT operations.
- Strong knowledge of SAP S/4HANA, WMS, TMS, APS, MRP, EDI, and system integration.
- Experience in cloud deployment, digital transformation, and emerging supply chain technologies.
- Excellent stakeholder management, communication, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
