The Opportunity

This is a mission-critical role designed for a high-clarity, high-rigor finance professional who wants to transition from execution-heavy roles (IB/ER/PE/Wealth) into an early stage team with strategic and entrepreneurial leadership.

You will be the Founder's principal partner in capital allocation, business model design, fundraising, and commercial expansion. This roles needs the financial modeling discipline of a banking analyst, the sector expertise of an equity researcher, and the execution velocity of a deal team.

If you've spent years building models, writing investment memos, and evaluating businesses under pressure, this role lets you deploy that toolkit to build something lasting.

Core Responsibilities

- Drive capital allocation and financial planning across new academic programs, infrastructure investments, and market expansion.

- Design and stress-test business models and pricing strategies for new revenue streams (executive education, corporate partnerships, certification programs).

- Research, model, and synthesize complex financial and market data into executive-level investment memos and equity research-style briefs to guide critical decisions on new ventures and key initiatives.

- Function as a soundboard and strategic partner to the Founder, translating vision into executable roadmaps with clear milestones and forcing mechanisms for delivery.

- Manage investor relations translating business progress into compelling financial storytelling for current and prospective stakeholders.

- Conduct sector and competitive analysis on edtech, higher education, and skilling markets to inform positioning and go-to-market strategy.

- Build and manage strategic partnerships with banks, AMCs, brokerages, and industry bodies, leveraging your network and credibility in financial services to unlock placement pipelines and revenue opportunities.

- Prepare investment-grade materials for board discussions and strategic decisions, detailed financial models, executive memos, and strategic frameworks.

- Establish financial reporting infrastructure: create KPI dashboards that track commercial health, student unit economics, and operational leverage.

- Own and drive high-priority cross-functional initiatives end-to-end, ensuring projects move from analysis to execution with relentless accountability.

Qualifications

- Must have completed full-time MBA from a top-tier institution.

- 5-7 years in investment banking, equity research, or wealth management at a leading financial services institution (Bulge bracket bank, boutique advisory, equity research firm, or PE/VC fund).

- Expert-level proficiency in financial modeling (DCF, Valuation), pitch deck creation, investment memos and comprehensive market analysis.

- Proven ability to manage ambiguity, prioritize effectively under high pressure, and operate with the velocity and rigor expected in a transactional environment.
