About the Role:
We are hiring a Director of Engineering for a US-based software consulting firm with offices in the USA, Mexico, and India. Our client is a decade-old software services company with an employee strength of more than 175 people spread across multiple locations.
Job Location: Ahmedabad (Onsite - Work from office)
Skills: Node.js, Next.js, AWS, DevOps, Technical Leadership, Engineering Management
Note: If you do not have at least 3+ years of coding experience in Node.js and AWS, please do not apply.
Required Skills:
- 12 to 15+ years of experience in technology delivery, with 3+ years in a senior leadership or engineering management role.
- Strong understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
- Strong interviewing and candidate evaluation skills.
- Hands-on strong technical experience with TypeScript, JavaScript, and AWS.
- Role requires balanced focus - 50% People Management and 50% Technical Leadership.
- Proven success managing distributed or global teams, ideally in a consulting or services model.
- Expertise in agile delivery, project tracking, and governance frameworks.
- Strong understanding of software development, cloud, or data engineering environments (preferred).
- Exceptional leadership, organizational, and communication skills.
- Experience working directly with US-based clients and stakeholders.
- Bachelors or Masters degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
