We are seeking a Social Media Director to work with a leading advertising agency in Mumbai!.

Job Summary:
- The Social Media Director leads the agency's social media vision, strategy, and execution across all clients.
- This role is responsible for developing innovative social media campaigns, driving measurable results, mentoring the social team, and ensuring best-in-class digital communication aligned with client goals and brand positioning.
Key Responsibilities:
Strategy & Planning.
- Develop comprehensive social media strategies for clients across platforms (Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, YouTube, X, TikTok, Snapchat, etc.
- Lead digital-first campaign planning integrating content, influencers, performance marketing, and brand storytelling.
- Conduct competitor analysis, audience insights, and market benchmarking to drive strategy.
- Create social media roadmaps, content calendars, and brand playbooks.
Execution & Management:
- Oversee end-to-end campaign execution including content creation, posting, optimization, and reporting.
- Ensure timely delivery of monthly content plans, campaigns, and asset production.
- Manage and guide creative teams (designers, writers, video editors) to deliver platform-optimized content.
- Implement best practices across formats: reels, static posts, carousels, YouTube shorts, GIFs, etc.
Client Management:
- Serve as the primary social media expert for clients; present strategies, reports, and campaign performance.
- Build strong client relationships and handle escalations.
- Identify opportunities for upselling digital services (influencers, paid ads, productions).
Performance & Analytics:
- Monitor KPIs: engagement, reach, impressions, follower growth, conversion, CTR, CPL, ROAS (where ads are involved).
- Use analytics tools (Meta Suite, Google Analytics, Sprout, Later, HubSpot, etc.) for insights and reporting.
- Optimize content and paid campaigns based on performance.
Team Leadership:
- Lead and mentor a team of social media managers, executives, content creators, and community managers.
- Conduct training sessions on trends, platform features, and social storytelling.
- Allocate resources and manage workloads to ensure smooth operations.
Trend & Innovation:
- Stay updated with global social media trends, platform updates, and creator tools.
- Continuously bring fresh ideas, viral formats, and creative innovations to clients.
- Evaluate and onboard new tools, technologies, and partnerships.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Degree in Marketing, Communications, Advertising, or related field.
- 5+ years of experience in social media, digital marketing, or creative strategy (agency experience preferred).
- Strong understanding of content strategy, performance marketing, influencer marketing, and brand storytelling.
