Role Overview:
As the Director - Smart Manufacturing - Curricula/Training Program, you will spearhead the development and execution of cutting-edge training programs focused on Smart Manufacturing technologies and methodologies. You will collaborate closely with industry experts, academic institutions, and internal teams to design and deliver impactful learning experiences. Your work will directly contribute to upskilling the workforce, driving innovation, and accelerating the adoption of Smart Manufacturing practices across various industries, ultimately enhancing productivity and competitiveness.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop comprehensive curricula for Smart Manufacturing training programs, incorporating industry best practices, emerging technologies, and practical applications to meet the evolving needs of the manufacturing sector.
- Lead instructional design efforts, creating engaging and effective learning materials, including presentations, simulations, case studies, and hands-on exercises, to maximize knowledge retention and skill development.
- Manage a team of curriculum developers, trainers, and subject matter experts, providing guidance, mentorship, and performance feedback to ensure the delivery of high-quality training programs.
- Collaborate with industry partners and academic institutions to identify skill gaps, validate curriculum content, and ensure alignment with industry standards and certification requirements.
- Evaluate the effectiveness of training programs through assessments, feedback surveys, and performance metrics, and implement continuous improvement initiatives to enhance the learning experience and outcomes.
- Oversee the development and maintenance of online learning platforms and resources, ensuring accessibility, usability, and scalability to support a diverse learner population.
- Manage the budget and resources allocated to curriculum development and training programs, ensuring cost-effectiveness and alignment with organizational goals.
- Promote the Smart Manufacturing training programs through marketing and outreach activities, building relationships with potential clients and stakeholders to expand program reach and impact.
Required Skillset:
- Demonstrated ability to design and develop comprehensive curricula for technical training programs, incorporating adult learning principles and instructional design methodologies.
- Proven expertise in Smart Manufacturing technologies, including automation, robotics, IoT, data analytics, and cloud computing, with the ability to translate complex concepts into practical learning experiences.
- Exceptional leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate, mentor, and develop a high-performing team of curriculum developers and trainers.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively engage with diverse audiences, including industry executives, academic professionals, and training participants.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to assess training needs, evaluate program effectiveness, and implement data-driven improvements.
- Master's degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, Education, or a related field.
- Adaptability to work in an on-site environment in Chandigarh.
