Role Overview:
As the Director / Senior Director - Procurement, you will spearhead the strategic sourcing and commercial management of our transport and fleet operations in Bangalore. You will act as the primary architect for our mobility procurement roadmap, balancing cost-efficiency with operational excellence. This role involves close collaboration with executive leadership, operations teams, and external vendor partners to ensure a seamless supply chain that directly impacts our service reliability and bottom-line profitability. By driving innovation in fleet sourcing and transport commercial models, you will play a pivotal role in scaling our logistics infrastructure to meet aggressive business growth targets.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute comprehensive procurement strategies for fleet management and transport operations to optimize total cost of ownership and service quality.
- Lead high-stakes negotiations with key logistics partners to secure competitive commercial terms that align with organizational financial objectives.
- Oversee end-to-end fleet sourcing initiatives, ensuring that all assets meet safety, compliance, and performance standards required for large-scale mobility operations.
- Partner with cross-functional stakeholders to identify process improvements in transport commercial workflows, enhancing overall supply chain agility.
- Monitor market trends and vendor performance metrics to mitigate supply risks and capitalize on emerging opportunities within the logistics landscape.
Required Skillset:
- Demonstrated expertise in managing complex procurement cycles within the logistics and mobility sectors, with a proven ability to handle large-scale fleet operations.
- Exceptional analytical and negotiation skills, with a track record of delivering significant cost savings while maintaining high vendor service levels.
- Strong leadership capabilities to influence senior stakeholders and manage diverse teams in a fast-paced, on-site environment in Bangalore.
- Excellent communication skills, enabling clear articulation of commercial strategies and effective collaboration across internal departments.
- A postgraduate degree from a premier institute is highly preferred, complemented by a deep understanding of transport commercial frameworks and regulatory compliance.
