Director / Senior Director - Credit Underwriting

Location: Noida (Onsite), 5 days wfo + 2 Saturdays (your choice)

Experience: 12-15 years

About the Role :

We are looking for a senior credit leader to own and scale the credit underwriting function for a fast-growing fintech platform in the B2B lending space.

This is a high-impact leadership role where you will drive underwriting strategy across supply chain finance and short-tenure commercial lending products, while building robust, data-driven credit frameworks.

Key Responsibilities :

- Own end-to-end credit underwriting for SME/commercial lending portfolios

- Design and implement credit risk frameworks, policies, and underwriting programs

- Lead cashflow-based credit assessment for supply chain finance and working capital products

- Build and refine scorecards, risk models, and decisioning strategies

- Drive technology and data integration in underwriting workflows (automation, AI, analytics)

- Ensure portfolio quality, risk controls, and regulatory compliance

- Collaborate with business, technology, and external lending partners (Banks/NBFCs)

- Lead and scale a lean underwriting team, driving efficiency and turnaround time

What Were Looking For :

Must-Have Experience :

- 12-15+ years in SME/commercial credit underwriting

- Strong exposure to supply chain finance, invoice discounting, or working capital lending

- Experience in NBFC, fintech, or new-age lending platforms

- Proven track record of personally owning credit decisions (not just execution)

- Strong understanding of cashflow-based lending models

Core Capabilities :

- Ability to build and evolve underwriting frameworks in a dynamic environment

- Strong analytical and risk assessment skills

- Experience with credit scoring models / data-driven underwriting

- Comfort working in fast-paced, evolving setups with changing processes

- Strong stakeholder management with leadership and cross-functional teams

Education :

MBA or CA from a reputed institute
