Director/Senior Director - Business Strategy - Banking Captive

Description:

Strategy Enablement and Execution:

- Collaborate with the Head and senior leadership team to define the strategic direction and key initiatives.

- Own the strategy roadmap end-to-end, from design through execution.

- Translate strategy into actionable execution plans, priorities, and measurable outcomes.

- Enable entity-wide alignment on strategic imperatives through structured planning, governance, and execution cadence.

- Lead strategic planning cycles, annual operating plans, and leadership reviews.

- Provide forward-looking insights and recommendations to senior leadership based on execution progress and performance.

- Demonstrate strong big-picture thinking combined with hands-on execution experience.

Program Management:

- Lead and oversee strategic projects and initiatives.

- Manage program lifecycles from conception and planning through execution and evaluation.

- Establish strong program governance and execution discipline.

- Proactively manage risks, dependencies, and escalations across complex, cross-functional programs.

- Drive outcomes by establishing and leading relevant leadership forums and review mechanisms.

Financial and Budget Stewardship:

- Provide oversight for site-level budget governance, financial discipline, and cost optimization.

- Partner with Finance to monitor spend, resource allocation, and financial performance.

- Drive transparency, accountability, and rigor in financial planning and execution.

Business Continuity Planning (BCP) and Crisis Management:

- Own Business Continuity Planning and operational resilience

- Lead crisis preparedness, simulations, and response activation in partnership with relevant teams.

- Ensure continuity plans are embedded, tested, and effective across all functions.

- Act as a central coordination point during crisis situations.

- Partner with enterprise-wide teams to ensure effective planning and execution.

Shared Services Team Leadership:

- Serve as a subject matter expert in building and leading shared services portfolios across multiple and diverse business lines.

- Demonstrate strong understanding of systems and technology to manage end-to-end offshoring and outsourcing operations.

- Provide leadership to multifunction shared services delivery teams, partnering with Functional Leaders across the enterprise.

- Drive operational excellence, productivity improvements, and modernization initiatives.

- Strengthen process standardization, quality, and service reliability.

Stakeholder Engagement:

- Build strong partnerships across internal and external stakeholder groups.

- Own and manage external relationships with research firms and industry forums.

- Operate effectively in a matrix organization, driving meaningful change and influencing without direct authority.

Qualifications, Certifications, and Relevant Work Experience:

- Education: Bachelors or Masters degree required; advanced studies or professional certifications are a plus.

- Experience: Minimum of 20 years of professional experience in the BFSI IT/ITeS industry.

- Proven track record in managing and leading shared services operations, preferably within a large financial services Global Capability Center (GCC).
