About the Role :
We are seeking a highly experienced professional with a strong background in SAP FICO and M&A projects to join our consulting team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in managing mergers, acquisitions, divestitures, and carve-outs for mid to large-size clients. This role requires a Chartered Accountant with proven expertise in SAP implementation and optimization, strong leadership skills, and the ability to deliver strategic and operational excellence in a multi-client consulting environment.
Key Responsibilities :
- Lead end-to-end delivery of SAP FICO projects with a focus on M&A transactions (mergers, carve-outs, acquisitions, divestitures, and reorganizations).
- Act as a trusted advisor to CXO-level stakeholders, providing insights and recommendations on financial processes, controls, and system integrations during M&A.
- Independently and collaboratively lead client engagement workstreams to drive process improvement, optimization, and transformation.
- Implement leading practice workflows, identify process gaps, and drive measurable improvements in financial and operational outcomes.
- Oversee design, configuration, testing, and deployment of SAP solutions aligned with M&A requirements.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (finance, IT, legal, tax, and business operations) to ensure smooth integration and compliance.
- Manage multiple complex projects simultaneously, ensuring timely delivery, quality standards, and client satisfaction.
- Provide thought leadership and mentorship to junior consultants and project teams.
- Contribute to business development efforts, including solutioning for proposals, client presentations, and go-to-market strategies.
Required Skills & Experience:
- 14+ years of consulting experience with a strong background in SAP FICO implementations.
- Minimum 5+ years of hands-on experience in SAP M&A projects, including carve-outs, mergers, and acquisitions.
- Proven expertise in financial accounting, controlling, and integration with SAP modules in M&A scenarios.
- Strong analytical and decision-making skills to manage complex, multi-project environments.
- Demonstrated ability to lead large transformation programs and deliver measurable outcomes.
- Prior experience as Senior Associate Director or Director in a consulting/advisory environment.
- Exposure to multi-client shared services/team environment is preferred.
- Excellent written, verbal communication, and stakeholder management skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Chartered Accountant (CA) - mandatory.
- Advanced degree in Business, IT, Finance, or Engineering (MBA/MCA/BE/BTech).
- Strong knowledge of financial regulations, compliance, and risk management in M&A contexts.
- Experience with global clients and managing cross-border projects.
