Key Role : Director Projects

Additional Role : Practice Area Expert - Residential or Commercial + Mixed land Use/Any Other or Region-wise

Portfolio: 25-50 Cr business in respective area of expertise or region

Position Overview :

The Director - Projects will lead the end-to-end delivery of architectural projects across markets, ensuring operational excellence, profitability, and client satisfaction. This role requires strategic oversight, strong leadership, and deep expertise in managing large-scale, complex projects.

Key Responsibilities :

Leadership & Strategy :

- Define and implement project delivery strategies aligned with the firm's global vision.

- Drive operational efficiency and profitability across all projects.

- Lead, mentor, and inspire multidisciplinary teams, fostering a culture of excellence, collaboration, and accountability.

- Facilitate cross-office knowledge exchange sessions to share best practices and organize workshops and internal sessions for innovation, collaboration, and delivery excellence.

Design & Project Delivery :

- Lead a team of 2-3 Project Lead/Associate Directors with multiple architectural projects from inception through completion

- Oversee planning, execution, profitability and delivery of multiple projects simultaneously.

- Ensure adherence to timelines, budgets, and quality standards.

Client & Stakeholder Engagement :

- Represent the firm at industry forums, conferences, and networking events to enhance brand visibility.

- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients.

- Act as the escalation point for critical project issues.

Financial Oversight :

- Monitor project budgets and margins.

- Implement cost-control measures and optimize resource allocation.

Risk Management :

- Identify and mitigate project risks proactively.

- Ensure compliance with international standards and local regulations.

Business Development :

- Identify and pursue new business opportunities by exploring untapped markets, forming strategic alliances, and building partnerships that strengthen the firm's global presence.

- Develop and implement innovative growth strategies to expand the firm's service offerings and project portfolio, ensuring sustainable revenue streams and competitive advantage.

Qualifications & Experience :

- Bachelor's/Master's degree in Architecture from a recognized institution.

- 18+ years of professional experience, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role.

- Strong portfolio of completed projects across diverse typologies (residential, commercial and mixed land use)

- Proven ability to lead large, complex teams and manage multiple high-value projects simultaneously.

- Excellent client management, business development, and communication skills.

Software Knowledge (strategic-level, but with working familiarity) :

- AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp, Photoshop, Rhino, Grasshopper, Revit, BIM 360.
