Role Summary:

The Director of Catalog Product will leverage deep expertise in cutting-edge technologies such as AI/ML, NLP/NLU, Deep Learning, Neural Networks, LLMs, Speech/Image Recognition, Computer Vision, and Algorithmic Modeling to design, build, and scale a diverse portfolio of products, tools, and features related to a vast catalog ecosystem. The goal is to ensure customers are presented with the most relevant and high-quality items.

This role operates within a dynamic, rapidly evolving, and complex environment. The ideal candidate will be comfortable managing high levels of complexity and collaborating with a broad set of international stakeholders across multiple geographies, including South Korea, China, and the US. Key partners include teams in Retail & Pricing Product, 3P Marketplace, Search & Discovery, and Finance. The position involves direct management of a growing team of Product Managers and close collaboration with engineering and data science teams (50+ FTEs) across Seoul and Shanghai.

Key Responsibilities:

- Define the vision and product roadmap for the Catalog platform.

- Own the entire product lifecycle from strategic planning to execution.

- Prioritize initiatives and create a future roadmap, balancing trade-offs and optimizing customer experience.

- Develop next-generation tools to automate catalog processes.

- Drive alignment with stakeholders across engineering, data science, product, operations, and infrastructure.

- Monitor performance metrics and proactively identify opportunities for optimization.

- Foster collaboration across global teams and scale the product management function.

Basic Qualifications:

- Experience: 10+ years of successfully developing and launching innovative products for a Tier-1 technology organization.

- Proven ability to create product roadmaps from conception to launch, define GTM strategies, and lead design discussions.

- Hands-on experience with AI/ML technologies, including NLP/NLU, Deep Learning, LLMs, OCR, or similar.

- Strong understanding of AI/ML software stacks and ML frameworks (preferred).

- Experience managing technical and design direction for large-scale systems.

- Skilled in agile methodologies with rapid iteration cycles.

- Data-driven decision-making across the product lifecycle.

- Familiarity with marketplace or consumer platform models.

- Experience working with distributed teams across multiple geographies.

- Startup experience or exposure to fast-paced environments (preferred).

- Domain expertise in Catalog, Pricing, Search, or Recommendation systems.
