Director - Procurement - Infrastructure/Industrial

Location: Mumbai

Role Overview:

Spearhead the strategic direction and operational excellence of the procurement function. Your day-to-day will involve leading a team of procurement professionals, developing and executing sourcing strategies, negotiating contracts, and managing vendor relationships. You will collaborate closely with internal stakeholders across various departments, including Engineering, Operations, Finance, and Legal, to ensure alignment with business objectives and drive cost savings.

Key Responsibilities: MEP Procurement Specialist

- Lead sourcing and procurement of mechanical packages including HVAC systems, chillers, CRAC units, pumps, piping systems, cooling towers, fire & security systems, raised flooring, cable trays, DG low-side works, tanks, and related infrastructure items.

- Manage end-to-end RFQ/RFP and tendering processes through SAP/ARIBA.

- Conduct cost analysis, benchmarking, negotiations, and contract finalization with suppliers.

- Work closely with internal stakeholders to align procurement strategies with project and business requirements.

- Drive cost optimization, supplier governance, SLA monitoring, and risk mitigation initiatives.

- Ensure compliance with procurement policies, audit requirements, and approval processes.

- Build strong supplier relationships and support continuous process improvement initiatives.

Desired Profile:

- Full-time Mechanical Engineering graduate from a reputed institute.

- 15+ years of relevant procurement/supply chain experience in infrastructure or industrial environments.

- Strong exposure to SAP and ARIBA platforms.

- Good commercial acumen, negotiation, analytical, and stakeholder management skills.

- Proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint; Power BI knowledge will be an added advantage.

- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
