The Director of Planning & Development will serve as the strategic lead for the organization's construction and infrastructure portfolio in Pune. This role involves overseeing the entire lifecycle of high-value projects, from initial planning and feasibility studies to final execution and delivery. You will work closely with senior stakeholders, government bodies, and internal technical teams to ensure that projects are delivered within defined timelines and quality benchmarks. As a key member of the leadership team, your primary impact will be driving operational excellence, mitigating project risks, and ensuring that the company's infrastructure footprint continues to expand sustainably.

Key Responsibilities:

- Direct the end-to-end planning and development lifecycle for large-scale infrastructure projects to ensure alignment with organizational growth targets.

- Lead cross-functional teams of engineers and project managers to streamline construction workflows and improve site productivity.

- Establish robust project governance frameworks to monitor progress, manage budgets, and ensure strict adherence to safety and quality standards.

- Collaborate with external stakeholders, including regulatory authorities and consultants, to secure necessary approvals and maintain project momentum.

- Identify potential bottlenecks in infrastructure operations and implement proactive solutions to minimize delays and cost overruns.

- Mentor senior project staff to foster a culture of technical excellence and accountability across all ongoing sites.


Required Skillset:

- Demonstrated expertise in managing large-scale, complex construction and infrastructure projects with a focus on long-term strategic planning.

- Proven ability to lead large, multidisciplinary teams and manage high-stakes stakeholder relationships effectively.

- Strong analytical capabilities to interpret technical data, financial reports, and project schedules to drive informed decision-making.

- Exceptional communication and negotiation skills, essential for navigating complex regulatory environments and managing client expectations.

- A deep understanding of modern construction methodologies, project management software, and industry-standard safety protocols.

- Candidates must possess 18 - 26 years of relevant experience in the construction and infrastructure sector.

- A degree in Civil Engineering or a related field is required, with a preference for advanced management qualifications from premier institutes.

- Ability to work effectively in an on-site environment, providing hands-on leadership to the teams.
