Role Summary:
We are seeking a Director/Partner for Client Coverage Team to lead Investor Relations, Business Development, and Vertical Management. This role offers exposure to a diverse range of deals, including structured finance, project finance, M&A, equity fundraising, and capital markets transactions, covering the entire deal life cycle for both Indian and international mandates. The position is designed to develop skills for independent deal execution while fostering strong relationships with corporates and investors/lenders.
Key Responsibilities:
Client Coverage & Business Development:
- Lead client coverage, deal origination, and mandate execution.
- Build and nurture relationships with corporates (Promoters/Directors/C-level executives) and investors/lenders.
- Drive business development initiatives to secure new mandates.
Investor/Lender Management:
- Identify and maintain strong relationships with investors and lenders.
- Develop tailored investment proposals, projections, and deal structures to achieve successful closures.
Client Coordination:
- Manage client coordination for information gathering and deal closure.
- Facilitate negotiations, provide hand-holding support, and ensure active client participation.
- Demonstrate expertise in building and maintaining client-requester relationships.
Deal Execution:
- Oversee end-to-end deal execution, ensuring seamless coordination and closure.
- Leverage experience to guide negotiations and manage deal-related processes effectively.
Skills & Experience Required:
Experience:
- Minimum 15 years of overall professional experience.
- At least 10 years in Investment Banking or similar roles in Banks, Financial Institutions, or Fund Houses.
- Proven experience in client coordination and investor relations.
- Prior experience managing a project team/vertical or leading a similar function.
- Hands-on experience in managing the complete deal life cycle, including execution.
Education:
- MBA, CFA, CA, or MFA from a reputed institute.
Skills & attitude:
- Strong client coordination and investor relationship management skills.
- Proven leadership and team-building capabilities.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
- Proactive, self-starter with a go-getter attitude.
- High aptitude and deep industry knowledge.
Industry Exposure:
- Mandatory experience in Investment Banking or Investment Advisory.
