Role:

1) SPOC (Single Point of Contact for the Deal / Captain of the Deal Team).

2) Meet and convince a client to work with [BD]. Should be able to Pitch to Board in a room and command the room to win a mandate. Work with founder on aligning story and process. Be decisive if need be with board and founder on process / story etc with "Value creation to company" being the client.

3) Manage the pace of the process to ensure probability of success (time it right - time of year/ momentum, course correct based on market feedback, push founders hard and hold them accountable to numbers etc). Ensure critical actions are communicated to all key stakeholders and bring about alignment.

4) Work with team below to ensure quality of output in a timely manner. If Output from team below not up to standard, then roll up sleeves and get your hands dirty and mentor team below to get required output.

5) Ability to create a competitive process with investors resulting in optimal terms for client. Identify key issues and navigate through dd process.

6) Ability to read deal dynamics and optimize round construct even after a term sheet is signed.

7) Maintain relationship with founder and board to work as a team on the next round. To commit to an SLA and Meet it in terms of timelines / depth / width of process.

8) Should be able to have a view during the buying process of the mandate.

9) Ability to do fifty percent dipstick. Deep Fund relationships to do an optimal GTM.

10) Needs to able to guide founder and board on what is expected in terms of capital revenues and other metrics during process

Key Responsibilities:

1. Client Origination & Mandate Acquisition

- Engage with founders and leadership teams to originate new mandates.

- Pitch effectively to founders, boards, and senior stakeholders to secure advisory engagements.

- Collaborate with the founder to shape the deal narrative, positioning, and fundraising strategy.

- Confidently present in boardroom environments and lead discussions that drive decision-making.

2. Deal Process Leadership

- Act as the Deal Captain, managing the end-to-end transaction process.

- Control the pace and momentum of the deal to maximize probability of success.

- Time the process strategically based on market conditions and investor sentiment.

- Hold founders accountable to business metrics, milestones, and data readiness during the process.

3. Team Leadership & Execution Quality

- Lead the internal deal team and ensure high-quality outputs (pitch decks, financial models, investor materials).

- Review and elevate deliverables to ensure they meet client and market expectations.

- Mentor junior team members and step in directly when required to maintain quality and timelines.

4. Investor Process Management

- Design and run a competitive fundraising process with investors to achieve optimal terms for the client.

- Leverage strong investor relationships to drive high-quality engagement.

- Navigate due diligence processes and identify potential risks or negotiation points early.

5. Negotiation & Deal Structuring

- Analyze deal dynamics and optimize transaction structure even after term sheets are signed.

- Guide founders on valuation expectations, round construction, and strategic investor selection.

6. Stakeholder Alignment

- Maintain strong relationships with founders, board members, and investors throughout the transaction lifecycle.

- Ensure alignment across stakeholders and communicate critical updates during the deal process.

7. Market Intelligence & Fund Relationships

- Maintain deep relationships with venture capital and growth investors.

- Provide market insights to founders on investor expectations around revenue, growth metrics, and capital efficiency.

- Conduct preliminary investor outreach ("dipstick") to gauge market interest before launching the full process.

8. Post-Deal Relationship Management

- Continue to work closely with founders and boards after a successful round to support future fundraising initiatives.

- Commit to and deliver on service-level expectations regarding timelines, process depth, and investor coverage.

Must Have's

- Should have generated a Revenue of 10Cr in the current role

- Should be well connected in the VC ecosystem and have dealt with Series B/C/D invested companies
