Description:
This role focuses on using advanced analytics and optimization to improve end-to-end supply chain performance. The objective is to design smart, data-driven solutions that reduce cost, improve availability, and support seamless omnichannel operations.
The role may involve optimizing product assortment, inventory planning and placement across warehouses and stores, transportation network efficiency, and internal warehouse flows to improve productivity. As a supply chain network leader, you will define long-term optimization strategies and use technology and analytics to improve both customer experience and business results.
Reporting & Team Structure:
Reports to a senior supply chain optimization leader
Leads a team of 6-8 Operations Research professionals
Works closely with planning, inventory, logistics, product, technology, and data teams across geographies
Key Responsibilities:
- Identify high-impact supply chain improvement opportunities using data, analytics, and market insights
- Lead and grow a strong team with expertise in statistics, optimization, simulation, machine learning, experimentation, and data engineering
- Translate complex analytical insights into clear business recommendations and financial impact for senior leadership
- Develop a deep understanding of the full retail / ecommerce supply chain, including demand forecasting, vendor performance, logistics, store replenishment, digital fulfillment, and returns
- Build hypotheses, create proofs of concept, and run structured experiments to validate solutions
- Partner with business, product, and engineering teams to define 23 year optimization and capability roadmaps
- Drive measurable outcomes such as improved product availability, lower operating costs, better inventory turns, and stronger supply chain resilience
- Coach and mentor team members while building a culture of trust, accountability, and high performance
- Provide regular feedback and remove execution barriers by working closely with senior leaders and cross-functional teams
- Support organizational priorities related to culture, learning, engagement, and inclusion
About You:
- Degree in a quantitative field such as Operations Research, Statistics, Mathematics, Business Analytics, Engineering, or related discipline
- 14+ years of experience in supply chain, ecommerce, analytics, product, or related domains
- At least 5+ years of experience leading and developing high-performing teams in complex, fast-changing environments
- Strong understanding of supply chain concepts such as forecasting, assortment planning, inventory optimization, logistics, and store operations
- Hands-on experience with analytical techniques including optimization, simulation, A/B testing, stochastic models, and forecasting
- Strong strategic thinking with experience in defining KPIs, long-term planning, and driving business outcomes
- Ability to simplify complex analytical concepts and clearly communicate insights to technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Proven ability to influence cross-functional and global teams and align them toward shared goals
