Job Description:

The Director of Operations will be responsible for leading and optimizing end-to-end retail operations across stores, supply chain, logistics, and customer fulfillment. This role will drive operational excellence, cost efficiency, and scalability while ensuring superior customer experience and alignment with overall business strategy.

The role requires close collaboration with senior leadership and cross-functional teams to support business growth, process standardization, and performance improvement across the retail network.

Key Responsibilities:

- Lead end-to-end retail operations including store operations, warehousing, distribution, and last-mile delivery

- Define and execute operational strategies aligned with business objectives and growth plans

- Drive standardization of processes, SOPs, and governance across retail formats

- Monitor and improve key operational KPIs such as sales productivity, inventory turns, service levels, shrinkage, and costs

- Oversee inventory planning, replenishment, and demand-supply alignment to ensure optimal availability

- Partner with Supply Chain, Merchandising, Finance, and Technology teams to enhance operational efficiency

- Lead large, multi-location teams and build strong leadership pipelines

- Drive cost optimization initiatives across operations, logistics, and store infrastructure

- Lead operational readiness for new store launches, network expansion, and omnichannel initiatives

- Ensure compliance with regulatory, safety, and internal control standards

Required Experience:

- 15+ years of progressive experience in Retail Operations / Supply Chain / Multi-site Operations

- Minimum 6-8 years in a senior leadership role (Director / Head of Operations / GM Operations)

- Proven experience managing large retail networks (stores, DCs, or omnichannel operations)

- Strong exposure to operational transformation, scalability, and cost optimization

- Experience working in high-growth or large-format retail environments

Educational Qualifications:

- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Operations, Supply Chain, or Business Administration

- MBA / Master's degree in Operations, Supply Chain, or General Management preferred

Key Skills & Competencies:

- Strong leadership and people management capabilities

- Strategic thinking with hands-on execution ability

- Deep understanding of retail operations, inventory management, and customer experience

- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills

- Data-driven decision-making and KPI orientation
