Job Overview:.
- We are seeking an experienced and strategic Director to lead and manage the overall operations, growth, and governance of our NBFC.
- The Director will play a key role in ensuring financial stability, regulatory compliance, and driving the company's strategic vision in line with market trends and opportunities in the financial sector.
Key Responsibilities:
Strategic Leadership:
- Develop and implement long-term strategic plans for the NBFC in alignment with business goals and market opportunities.
- Provide visionary leadership to the company's executive team, fostering growth and innovation in products and services.
- Oversee the financial planning, budgeting, and risk management strategies of the company.
Regulatory Compliance:
- Ensure that the NBFC complies with all relevant regulations and guidelines set by the Reserve Bank of India (RBI) and other financial regulatory bodies.
- Oversee timely submission of statutory reports, audits, and ensure adherence to licensing requirements.
- Liaise with regulatory authorities and maintain excellent corporate governance practices.
Financial Management:
- Monitor and manage the company's capital structure, liquidity, and financial performance.
- Drive financial performance, ensuring profitability, cost-efficiency, and the maintenance of a healthy asset-liability mix.
- Assess and approve large credit facilities, investments, and other financial operations.
Risk Management:
- Oversee the identification, management, and mitigation of risks (credit, operational, market, etc.
- Establish effective internal control systems and ensure regular risk assessments.
- Implement robust risk policies to protect the company's interests and maintain operational stability.
Business Development:
- Identify new business opportunities in lending, investment, and financial products to expand the NBFC's portfolio.
- Build partnerships with banks, financial institutions, investors, and other stakeholders.
- Explore innovative products, such as digital lending, microfinance, SME loans, or other areas of financial services.
Team Leadership & Development:
- Provide leadership to senior management and ensure alignment with the company's vision and goals.
- Build and mentor a high-performing team to achieve business objectives.
- Foster a culture of accountability, ethics, and continuous improvement.
Stakeholder Management:
- Communicate with shareholders, investors, board members, and other stakeholders about the company's performance and future outlook.
- Represent the company at industry forums, events, and to government bodies.
Corporate Governance:
- Ensure strong corporate governance practices, including the adherence to ethical practices, transparency, and accountability.
- Convene and lead board meetings, ensuring effective decision-making and corporate oversight.
Key Qualifications:
Educational Background:
- Master's degree in Business Administration (MBA), Finance, Economics, or related field.
- Professional certifications (CA, CFA, etc.) are a plus.
Experience:
- Minimum 10-15 years of experience in the financial services industry, with at least 5 years in a leadership role within an NBFC, bank, or financial institution.
- Proven track record in business growth, compliance management, and risk mitigation.
Knowledge:
- Deep understanding of RBI regulations, NBFC operations, and the financial services sector in India.
- Strong financial acumen, including expertise in financial analysis, credit assessment, and portfolio management.
