Responsibilities and accountabilities include: - Deep understanding of the end to end KYC process and data across multiple client types - Listed and Regulated, small/medium/ large private and public companies as well as more complex structures such as; SPVs, Co-operatives, Foundations and Funds, Governments, Joint Ventures, etc. - Provide SME guidance on interpretation and application of banks internal KYC policies and global regulations related to tax and money laundering. - Build and maintain strong partnerships with key internal stakeholders across the bank - Anti Financial Crime (AFC), Compliance, Business, Onshore counterparts and Technology. - Translate goals and policies set by CDS globally to departmental strategy, business and action plans; see to it that these are carried through and realized. - Identify and implement opportunities to optimize capacity and increase efficiencies Imbibe and propagate firm's KYC / AML and Ref Data policies and procedures as well as systems and technology used to record the information &amp; documents. - Provide relevant input to CDS senior management for budget setting; manage the given departmental budget and see to it that it is realized - Inculcate absolute adherence to the business and firm wide Risk/Controls agenda, work closely with the Risk team for periodic assessments of risks &amp; controls and timely closure of identified control issues - Ownership and resolution of issues raised by Audit, Quality Assurance and Risk &amp; Control teams. - Maintain strict discipline and rigor around error tracking, analysis, feedback, knowledge management, training, updating of operating procedures People Management The behaviours provided below should be adopted by all Company Bank employees in relation to their development and management of others. - Supports the development of an environment where people management and development is the number one priority. Including, but not limited to: - Good knowledge of Control, Compliance, Investigation/chasing functions in banks - Good Knowledge of AML/KYC regulations and industry guidelines (FSA, JMLSG, 3rd EU Money Laundering Directive, MiFID) - Good knowledge of Tax regulations such as Dodd Frank, EMIR, FATCA and CRS - Be recognised internally and externally as a subject matter expert in operational management and strategy - Interpret and assure implementation of appropriate strategies to ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements. Be able to define global strategies and manage regional implementation - Provide thought leadership and draw on internal and external best practice, plans and delivers significant operational change and development, actively fostering a continuous improvement culture Communication / Soft Skills: - Excellent communication skills (able to work with all levels within the organisation). - Proficient knowledge of English - Excellent writing and presentation skills - Excellent interpersonal skills - Experience in working with and leading global, multi-region initiatives and teams - The candidate will need to be able to manage multiple deliverables and changing priorities while working in a fast-paced environment. - Highly organised, efficient, and a self-starter. - Able to effectively organize and prioritize deliverables across the function while managing the expectations of stakeholders. - Familiar with Company Bank's policies and procedures - Able to display sound judgment and escalate issues appropriately - Able to structure information and presentations that supports the message - Able to be a leader in a virtual team Shalini Rana
