The Team / Role:

The Director, Knowledge Services - Private Equity will play a leadership role within A&Ms Knowledge Services Practice, helping build and scale the capability. Knowledge Services (KS) is A&Ms foray into operator services beyond consulting and works with A&M partners globally to provide value added services to PE clients. For the right candidate, we may be willing to consider a Senior Director level too. What we care for is the right type of individual.

In this role, we are seeking an individual who has a solid understanding of the investment lifecycle in Private Equity, who has specialized in investment research but who is comfortable expanding into fund operations (either delivery or client management), who possess the ability to drive client solutioning, manage & grow accounts and increasingly drive AI/tech use cases.

We are looking for a self-starter, with a comfort in ambiguity and working for a start-up like environment. Agility, getting things done and strong executive presence are a valued trait for this role. The successful candidate will lead strategic client engagements, help shape service and product offerings, drive operational excellence, support business development initiatives, and help build a scalable, high-performing team.

Key Responsibilities:

Practice Building & Growth:

- Help build and expand A&Ms KS for PE service offerings and delivery model

- Identify growth opportunities, adjacent services, and market trends

- Support commercial strategy, resource planning, and practice economics

- Contribute to business development, proposals, and client pitches

- Help in ideation, prototyping and commercialization efforts of products

- Help drive thinking and define the new delivery architecture for the AI age

Client Leadership:

- Serve as a trusted advisor to P Es investment teams (critical), CFOs, Controllers, Operating Partners (preferable)

- Ensure exceptional client service, quality, and stakeholder management

Operational Excellence:

- Establish scalable operating procedures, controls, and quality standards

- Oversee critical client deliverables and issue resolution

- Drive process improvement, automation, and best-practice adoption

Team Leadership:

- Mentor, develop, shape and collaborate as required with all level of team members

- Build knowledge assets, training programs, and delivery capabilities

- Foster a high-performance, client-centric culture

Qualifications:

- 12+ years of experience leading PE accounts/portfolios in KPOs, GCCs with value added services

- Demonstrated experience starting in investment research and managing fund operations in addition is highly desirable

- Experience managing senior client stakeholders and large delivery teams

- Demonstrated ability to build capabilities, scale teams, and drive operational excellence

- Commercial mindset with exposure to pricing, solution design, and business development

- Fluency with driving AI and/or technology powered POCs, accelerators

- CFA, MBA, CA, CPA, FRM/ or equivalent qualification preferred
