The role:
As the Director Knowledge & Expertise, you will lead knowledge management, research, program strategy and expertise management to drive WoWs mission of empowering women through scalable partnerships. You will directly report to the Joint Managing Director, and oversee high quality and high impact consulting delivery, program monitoring and evaluation, strategic communications and expert management. You will plan and lead strategic initiatives to bring professional excellence in an agile consulting environment.
Key responsibilities:
1. Research & partner strategy:
- Collaborate closely with Managing Directors, program director and HR team to assess critical gaps and define strategic development priorities.
- Leverage internal and industry data and hypotheses to shape strategic decisions, and develop & monitor measurable implementation plans.
2. Strategic communications:
- Craft and deliver compelling, insightful narratives across digital media, and stakeholder events to position WoW as a thought leader on market access.
- Deliver clear executive level communications, documents (such as playbooks, impact reports) and contribute to development of the annual, donor reports.
3. Knowledge management:
- Lead research on markets, value chains and global best practices to identify and leverage growth opportunities and strengthen offerings.
- Develop and oversee maintenance of a centralised, digital repository of best practices, case studies and learning materials for organizational use.
- Lead internal knowledge and capability development of the team, including enabling cross learning and up-skilling the team on the latest technology and business best practices.
4. Expert management:
- Source, onboard and manage pro bono Indian/Dutch experts and vendor partners to drive technical and strategic interventions.
- Implement structured onboarding, governance and performance frameworks to ensure high-quality, impactful contributions.
- Build and nurture long-term partnerships with these experts and agencies, ensuring alignment with partner goals and organisational values.
- Act as the key interface between program teams and expert panels.
5. Monitoring & evaluation:
- Independently and objectively evaluate program performance against the MOUs, goals, ensure compliance and report KPIs to stakeholders.
- Design and implement impact assessment frameworks to measure program and partnership outcomes, finalising the right.
Qualifications & experience:
- Nearly 10 years of experience in consulting, professional services, or the Consumer Goods sector with a strong commitment to creating social impact.
- Postgraduate, preferably a MBA, from a Tier 1 institution.
- Rich experience in delivering high quality knowledge and communication outputs and aiding programs to effect significant business, organisational, or social impact.
- Strong business acumen, innovation-oriented thinking and agility in execution.
- Demonstrable experience in leading teams by empowering team members.
- Strong research, analytical and impact evaluation expertise.
