Director - IT Quality Assurance

Director Quality Assurance:

We are looking for a seasoned Director Quality Assurance to lead and scale the QA function across embedded systems, communication platforms, backend services, and web/mobile/desktop applications.

This role will be responsible for defining QA strategy, driving automation excellence, and ensuring high-quality product delivery. The ideal candidate will bring strong leadership capabilities, deep technical expertise and the ability to collaborate effectively across cross-functional teams and external stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:

- Define and implement end-to-end QA strategy across multiple domains including embedded systems, communication systems, backend services, and applications.

- Collaborate with product and engineering teams to establish comprehensive test strategies and plans.

- Review technical designs to ensure complete and effective test coverage.

- Design and lead the development of scalable automation frameworks.

- Drive automation initiatives using tools such as Selenium and modern testing practices.

- Integrate automated testing into CI/CD pipelines (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI).

- Establish and enforce QA processes, quality gates, and release criteria.

- Oversee product validation, testing, and certification processes.

- Ensure adherence to ISO/IEC/IEEE standards and industry best practices.

- Maintain clear documentation of QA strategies, frameworks, and test outcomes.

- Represent QA in customer engagements and external communications.

Required Qualifications:

- 12+ years of experience in Quality Assurance with a strong focus on test automation.

- Minimum 8+ years of experience in a QA leadership role.

- Hands-on experience with automation tools such as Selenium.

- Strong programming/scripting skills in Python, JavaScript, or Java.

- Experience in embedded systems and communication systems testing.

- Solid understanding of CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.

- Experience with version control systems such as Git or SVN.

- Familiarity with Agile/Scrum development methodologies.

- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and leadership capabilities.

- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
