Job Description: Director Investment Banking & Equity Capital Markets (ECM)
Role Overview:
We are looking for a dynamic and seasoned Director Investment Banking & ECM to lead deal sourcing and execution across Industrials & Infrastructure sectors. The ideal candidate will act as a "Lifecycle Banker to Corporates," driving growth, capital raising, and expansion strategies for both private and public market transactions. This role demands a strong mix of client relationship management, deep sector knowledge, and a proven track record of closing high-value deals.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Deal Sourcing & Origination:
- Pipeline Development: Build and maintain a robust pipeline of investment banking opportunities (M&A, Private Equity, IPOs, QIPs) within the Industrials, Infrastructure, Renewables, and Fintech spaces.
- Client Relationship Management: Cultivate, manage, and scale high-level relationships with promoters, corporate clients, institutional investors, and sovereign/global PE funds.
- Pitching & Mandates: Lead the preparation of pitch books, valuation models, and strategic proposals to successfully win new client mandates.
2. Deal Execution (Private & Public Markets):
- Private Markets (M&A & PE): Lead end-to-end execution of cross-border and domestic M&A (buy-side/sell-side) and Private Equity transactions. Oversee deal structuring, commercial negotiations, and post-merger integration plans.
- Public Markets (ECM): Spearhead capital raising activities through Initial Public Offerings (IPOs) and Qualified Institutional Placements (QIPs) for mid-to-large-cap corporates and financial institutions.
- Due Diligence & Valuation: Supervise complex financial appraisal, enterprise valuation, business reviews, and comprehensive due diligence processes.
3. Financial Restructuring & Advisory (Add-on Expertise):
- Advise clients on debt realignment, asset monetization, financial turnaround, and resolution strategies for stressed assets or complex corporate carve-outs.
Candidate Profile & Requirements:
- Experience: 15 to 18+ years of core Investment Banking, Corporate Advisory, or Lead Advisory experience within reputed IBs, institutional platforms, or Big 4 firms (Deals/M&A divisions).
- Sector Expertise: Deep, demonstrable expertise in handling transactions across Industrials, Infrastructure (Roads, Highways, Ports), Renewables/Clean Energy, and Fintech/NBFC sectors.
- Education: MBA (Finance) from Tier-1 institutes (IITs/IIMs) or top-tier global business schools, ideally paired with a background in Engineering.
- Skills: Exceptional negotiation, deal-structuring, strategic planning, and leadership skills. Must be capable of driving revenue growth independently.
