Reporting to: Managing Director / Head of Investment Banking


About the Role

We are seeking a highly driven and experienced Director Investment Banking to lead deal origination, client relationship management, and execution across key sectors. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in sourcing, structuring, and closing transactions while building long-term client relationships.


Key Responsibilities

Deal Sourcing & Origination

- Identify, source, and originate new investment banking opportunities (M&A, Private Equity, Fundraising, Capital Markets).

- Leverage industry network to generate mandates across priority sectors.


Client Relationship Management

- Develop and maintain strong CXO-level relationships with corporates, PE/VC funds, family offices, and institutional investors.

- Act as a trusted advisor to clients, providing insights on strategic growth, capital raising, and M&A opportunities.


Transaction Execution

- Lead and manage end-to-end deal execution including due diligence, financial modeling, valuation, pitch preparation, and negotiations.

- Supervise preparation of IMs, pitchbooks, and other client deliverables.

- Ensure compliance with regulatory and internal guidelines.


Team Leadership & Development

- Mentor and guide Associates/Analysts in deal execution, client presentations, and research.

- Drive a high-performance culture and ensure professional development within the team.


Qualifications & Skills

- MBA / CA / CFA or equivalent with 10 - 15 years of experience in Investment Banking, Corporate Finance, or Private Equity.

- Strong track record in deal sourcing and execution (successful closures in M&A, fundraising, ECM, or DCM).

- Robust industry connects with promoters, corporate groups, private equity investors, and funds.

- Exceptional financial modeling, valuation, and negotiation skills.

- Excellent communication, presentation, and stakeholder management abilities.

- Entrepreneurial mindset with strong business development orientation.
