
Description: We are seeking a Human Resource Director to lead and execute human capital strategies for Technology operations in India. This is a MD-1 level role (one level below Managing Director) and will be responsible for managing 14,000+ FTEs in India.
The ideal candidate will come from Banks, GCCs (Global Capability Centers), Consulting, or Product Organizations, with strong global stakeholder management experience and a proven track record of driving HR transformation at scale.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and develop multiple specialized teams of managers and professional individual contributors (direct team of 78 people)
- Design and champion human capital strategies for a large and complex Technology business
- Partner with business leaders to implement HR strategies supporting business growth and people models
- Manage end-to-end employee lifecycle onboarding, confirmation, performance appraisals, grievance handling, employee relations, and separation
- Work with cross-functional Centers of Excellence (Talent Management, Performance Management, Employee Relations)
- Identify opportunities for process improvement and risk control development
- Lead team by making strategic decisions to resolve highly complex issues
- Interpret and develop HR policies and procedures with moderate-to-high complexity and risk
- Collaborate with and influence all levels of professionals, including senior global stakeholders and experienced leadership
- Manage allocation of people and financial resources aligned with strategic objectives
- Develop and guide a culture of talent development to meet business objectives
- Identify workforce trends to develop policies fostering diversity, equity, and inclusion
Required Qualifications:
- 8+ years of Human Resources Advisory or HR Business Partner experience (or equivalent)
- 4+ years of management or leadership experience

Scale: Proven experience managing large-scale Technology HRBP operations (preferably 10,000+ FTEs)

Team Leadership: Experience leading a team of senior HR professionals (direct team of 78+)
HR Transformation: Strong experience driving HR transformation and change management projects

Core HR Expertise: Workforce planning, recruitment, talent development, performance management, employee relations, compliance
Data & Analytics: Ability to gather and analyze HR data to identify trends and recommend solutions

Education: Postgraduate qualification (MBA HR preferred from Premier B-school like IIM)
Job Expectations:
- Partner with business to implement relevant HR strategies supporting business growth and people models
- Manage end-to-end employee lifecycle and day-to-day HR operations
- Proactively engage in process improvements
- Facilitate end-to-end HR needs for Technology business across Talent Management, Performance Management, and Employee Relations
- Ensure compliance with employment laws and regulations
- Advise leaders on people growth strategies to ensure retention and growth of high-potential employees
Ideal Candidate Profile (IIM Focus):
- MBA (HR) from IIM (any campus) or equivalent premier B-school
- 18-20+ years of HRBP experience, with at least 8-10 years in Technology HRBP leadership roles
- Currently at Director / VP / AVP level in a Bank, GCC, Consulting, or Product organization
- Experience managing 10,000+ FTEs in a global captive or large-scale technology setup
- Proven ability to influence C-suite and global stakeholders
- Strong track record of HR transformation, change management, and scaling teams
