Role Overview:

The Director - HR Business Partner role serves as a strategic advisor to senior leadership within a designated business unit, based in Mumbai. This role is responsible for aligning HR strategy with business objectives, driving talent management initiatives, and fostering a high-performance culture. The Director will collaborate closely with business leaders and HR functional teams to deliver comprehensive HR solutions that support the achievement of business goals and enhance employee engagement.

Key Responsibilities:

- Develop and implement HR strategies and initiatives aligned with the overall business strategy for the assigned business unit, ensuring a direct contribution to business outcomes.

- Partner with senior leadership to identify and address critical organizational and people-related challenges, providing expert guidance and solutions.

- Lead the talent management process, including succession planning, performance management, and leadership development, to build a strong and sustainable talent pipeline.

- Manage complex employee relations issues, conducting thorough investigations and ensuring fair and consistent application of company policies and procedures.

- Drive employee engagement initiatives, analyzing survey results and implementing action plans to improve employee satisfaction and retention.

- Oversee the performance management cycle, providing guidance to managers on setting clear performance expectations, delivering constructive feedback, and conducting performance appraisals.

- Collaborate with HR functional teams (e.g., Talent Acquisition, Compensation & Benefits, Learning & Development) to deliver integrated HR solutions that meet the needs of the business.

- Monitor and analyze HR metrics to identify trends and opportunities for improvement, providing data-driven insights to business leaders.

- Ensure compliance with all applicable employment laws and regulations, mitigating legal risks and maintaining a positive work environment.

- Lead and mentor a team of HR professionals, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement.

Required Skillset:

- Demonstrated ability to develop and implement HR strategies that align with business objectives and drive measurable results.

- Proven expertise in talent management, including succession planning, performance management, and leadership development.

- Exceptional employee relations skills, with the ability to effectively manage complex and sensitive issues.

- Strong understanding of employment laws and regulations, with the ability to ensure compliance and mitigate legal risks.

- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and influencing skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with stakeholders at all levels.

- Demonstrated ability to analyze HR data and metrics to identify trends and opportunities for improvement.

- Ability to lead and mentor a team of HR professionals, fostering a culture of collaboration and high performance.

- Master's degree in Human Resources or a related field is preferred.

- 18-25 years of progressive HR experience, with a focus on HR Business Partnering.
