Position: Director - HR Business Partner (GCC)
Location: Hyderabad
Reports to: CHRO
Role Overview:
The Director - HR Business Partner will be responsible for designing, building, and leading the HR function for a newly established Global Capability Center (GCC). This role will drive strategic business partnering, organization design, talent management, and cultural transformation to enable scalable and sustainable business growth.
You will act as a strategic advisor to business leaders, ensuring alignment of HR and business strategies while fostering a high-performance, future-ready workforce.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Strategic HR Leadership
Design and implement the HR operating model for the GCC, establishing foundational HR processes, frameworks, and governance.
Partner with global and regional HR leadership to define the people strategy aligned with global objectives and local priorities.
Serve as a strategic advisor to leadership on organization effectiveness, capability building, and workforce planning.
2. Organization Design & Development
Lead the setup and scaling of the GCC, ensuring seamless integration with global teams and business objectives.
Design and deploy organization structures, workforce models, and governance frameworks to support growth.
Drive change management and transformation initiatives to enable agility, innovation, and collaboration.
3. Talent Management & Leadership Development
Define and execute the Talent Management strategy for the GCC, encompassing succession planning, leadership development, and capability building.
Partner with business and global CoEs to identify high-potential talent and create development pathways to accelerate leadership readiness.
Lead the design of career frameworks, mobility programs, and competency models to drive performance and retention.
Introduce integrated talent reviews and development plans to strengthen organizational bench strength.
Collaborate with Learning & Development to implement targeted learning journeys aligned to organizational goals.
4. Employee Experience & Engagement
Champion a people-first culture by fostering engagement, inclusion, and well-being initiatives tailored to GCC employees.
Partner with leaders to identify engagement drivers and implement interventions to enhance employee satisfaction and retention.
Serve as the voice of employees, ensuring an authentic and transparent communication culture.
5. HR Operations & Governance
Establish and operationalize end-to-end HR processes, systems, and metrics ensuring operational efficiency.
Partner with HR Operations and CoEs (C&B, TA, L&D, DEI) for policy design, process automation, and compliance.
Ensure all HR practices adhere to local labor laws and global corporate governance standards.
6. Stakeholder & Change Management
Partner with senior business leaders and global HR teams to drive the strategic people agenda across the GCC.
Build strong relationships with global HR CoEs to co-create and implement people programs tailored to the GCC maturity curve.
Influence and guide leadership through data-backed insights and HR analytics to drive informed decision-making.
Key Requirements:
15-20 years of progressive HR experience, with minimum 5+ years in senior HRBP and Talent Management roles.
Proven experience in building or scaling a GCC or large shared services organization.
Strong background in Talent Management, Leadership Development, and Organization Design.
Demonstrated success in driving large-scale transformation and change initiatives.
Ability to work effectively in a global, matrixed environment with multiple stakeholders.
Excellent communication, influence, and analytical skills.
