Role Overview

We are seeking a seasoned Project Director / Head of Projects to lead end-to-end execution of large-scale Waste-to-Energy and industrial infrastructure projects. The role will be responsible for driving project strategy, execution excellence, stakeholder alignment, and ensuring delivery within timelines, cost, and quality benchmarks.

This is a leadership role requiring strong expertise in EPC project management, construction, commissioning, and cross-functional coordination in complex industrial environments.

Key Responsibilities

Project Leadership and Execution

- Lead the planning, execution, and delivery of Waste-to-Energy and industrial projects from concept to commissioning

- Ensure adherence to project timelines, budgets, and quality standards

- Drive execution strategies across engineering, procurement, construction, and commissioning (EPCC)

Strategic Planning and Governance

- Develop project execution frameworks, risk mitigation strategies, and governance models

- Monitor project performance through KPIs, dashboards, and periodic reviews

- Ensure compliance with statutory, environmental, and safety regulations

Stakeholder Management

- Manage relationships with clients, government bodies, consultants, contractors, and internal stakeholders

- Lead contract negotiations, dispute resolution, and commercial discussions

- Act as the key interface for project-related decision-making

Construction and Site Management

- Oversee multi-site construction activities ensuring adherence to safety and quality standards

- Drive productivity, cost optimization, and resource efficiency at project sites

- Ensure strong contractor and vendor performance management

Financial and Commercial Oversight:

- Manage project budgets, cost control mechanisms, and financial reporting

- Ensure profitability through effective cost planning and value engineering

- Track project cash flows and ensure commercial discipline

Team Leadership

- Build, lead, and mentor high-performing project teams across functions

- Drive a culture of accountability, safety, and execution excellence

- Strengthen capability in project planning, engineering coordination, and site execution

Key Requirements

- 20-25 years of experience in industrial project execution (EPC, Infrastructure, Energy, Power, Waste Management)

- Proven track record of leading large-scale construction projects (- 500 Cr+ preferred)

- Strong expertise in project planning, contracts, procurement, and site execution

- Experience in Waste-to-Energy, Power Plants, Industrial Plants, or similar sectors preferred

- Deep understanding of regulatory frameworks, environmental norms, and safety standards

- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple stakeholders including government agencies

- Strong leadership, decision-making, and problem-solving capabilities

Preferred Attributes

- Experience in greenfield industrial projects

- Exposure to PPP, BOT, or BOOT project models

- Familiarity with sustainability and renewable energy frameworks

- PMP or equivalent certification is an advantage
