Director/Head - Compliance - Bank

Role: Director, Head of Compliance.

Overall Purpose

The Head of BUK Compliance will be part of the BUK Compliance Leadership Team. This role leads India-based BUK Compliance colleagues aligned to UK Compliance teams, helping establish Centres of Excellence (CoE) in India.

Key Accountabilities

- Collaborate with UK leadership to identify India-suitable activities and deliver Centres of Excellence

- Provide expertise on UK retail banking products, regulatory environment.

- Lead education, training, and support for India Compliance team members

- Matrix-manage India team on behalf of BUK Compliance MDs/Directors

- Undertake business oversight with effective check & challenge

- Drive thought leadership in Business Oversight Compliance (BOC) Target Operating Model (TOM) embedment

- Support the growth of the Compliance India hub as a leadership team member

- Stakeholder Management

- Solid understanding of retail banking

- Senior-level experience in risk management and Compliance

Risk & Control Ownership

- Ensure full compliance with regulatory requirements, Enterprise-Wide Risk Management Framework, and internal Barclays Policies and Policy Standards.
