Description:
- Were seeking a dynamic leader for our key client, who would head their government consulting and skilling business, driving large-scale impact through partnerships, program execution, and strategic growth across state and central initiatives.
- As part of the leadership team, youll play a pivotal role in strengthening relationships with government bodies, industry partners, and ecosystem stakeholders, while ensuring seamless delivery of high-impact skilling and livelihood programs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the government business vertical, overseeing strategy, operations, and business development for skilling and allied initiatives.
- Build and manage strategic partnerships with government departments, ministries, and skill development agencies such as NSDC, SSDMs, DGT, and MSDE.
- Design, plan, and oversee large-scale skilling projects, ensuring alignment with national and state priorities.
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities in the government consulting and skilling domain, including RFPs, tenders, and strategic collaborations.
- Develop and implement growth strategies for both B2G and institutional partnerships that drive scale and revenue.
- Lead proposal development and bid management, from concept note creation to submission and negotiation.
- Collaborate with internal teamsprograms, finance, communications, and M&Eto ensure timely, compliant, and high-quality project delivery.
- Represent the organization in government meetings, steering committees, policy discussions, and industry events to strengthen visibility and influence.
- Drive innovation in skilling models, digital learning frameworks, and technology-enabled solutions for training and assessment.
- Strengthen relationships with ecosystem partners, including industry associations, training providers, and academic institutions, to co-create impactful skilling interventions.
- Monitor and evaluate ongoing programs, ensuring outcome-based performance and alignment with organizational goals.
- Build, mentor, and lead a high-performing team, setting clear targets, fostering accountability, and promoting continuous improvement.
Preferred Background:
- 12-18 years of experience in government consulting, skilling, livelihoods, or public policy execution.
- Proven track record of success in consultative selling to government and corporate clients in skilling or education.
- Proven ability to build strategic partnerships and lead cross-functional teams.
- Excellent understanding of Indias skilling ecosystem, RFP processes, and government program structures.
- Exceptional communication, stakeholder management, and leadership skills.
