Director Finance Controller
AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY:
Financial Control & Compliance:
- Oversee the entire financial control function, ensuring strong governance, risk management and compliance with financial regulations.
- Lead statutory audits, internal audits and financial reporting, ensuring adherence to accounting standards (Ind-AS, IFRS).
- Strengthen internal controls, financial policies and risk management frameworks to drive accuracy and efficiency.
Taxation (Direct & Indirect Taxes):
- Lead direct and indirect tax compliance, ensuring adherence to tax laws, corporate tax planning, and reporting requirements.
- Handle GST, TDS, income tax assessments and transfer pricing matters, optimizing tax efficiency and ensuring timely filings.
- Work closely with company stakeholders, tax consultants and regulatory authorities to mitigate risks and manage tax litigations effectively.
Strategic Financial Reporting & Treasury Management:
- Oversee financial statement preparation, ensuring transparency and accuracy in balance sheets, profit & loss accounts, and cash flow reports.
- Spearhead annual reports and present financial insights to the leadership team, board and external stakeholders.
- Manage treasury operations, including cash flow optimization, fund allocation and working capital management.
Mergers & Acquisitions (M&A) Due Diligence:
- Conduct financial due diligence for potential M&A transactions, including risk assessment and valuation.
- Collaborate with legal, finance, and external advisors to evaluate acquisitions and ensure smooth financial integration.
Cost Efficiency & Process Automation:
- Drive cost control initiatives, ensuring financial efficiency and profitability enhancement.
- Identify and implement financial process automation, optimizing ERP (SAP) and reporting systems to enhance productivity.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive financial transformation and digitization.
Stakeholder & Team Leadership:
- Lead and mentor the finance team, building a high-performance culture.
- Partner with business leaders, external auditors, tax authorities, banks, and regulatory bodies to drive financial excellence.
- Act as a trusted financial advisor, supporting business growth with data-driven financial decision-making.
IDEAL CANDIDATE PROFILE:
- 2010 - 2013 CA candidate with 8-10 years of experience in financial control, accounting, taxation, compliance and M&A due diligence.
- Ability to drive financial automation and digital transformation using SAP preferred.
- Excellent leadership and team management to drive high-performance finance teams.
- Strong stakeholder management with the ability to engage leadership, investors, and auditors effectively.
