Role Overview
As Director of Finance, you will report to the COO and take full responsibility for the financial strategy, oversight, and operations of MIC Global. You will be instrumental in driving international growth, scaling financial infrastructure, and providing critical insights to inform executive-level decisions. This is a high-impact leadership role with significant visibility across the business, and includes the opportunity to travel internationally and host global team meetings.
Key Responsibilities
Financial Strategy & Growth:
- Lead global financial strategy aligned with MIC Global's growth trajectory and long-term vision.
- Support M&A activities, fundraising, and expansion into new markets.
- Develop capital planning and funding strategies that support innovation and global operations.
Financial Planning & Analysis:
- Own budgeting, forecasting, financial modelling, and performance dashboards (e.g., MRR, ARR, LTV, customer profitability).
- Deliver financial insights to drive business decisions across product, sales, and operational teams.
- Partner with cross-functional leads to ensure data-driven strategic execution.
Bookkeeping & Reporting:
- Improve systems and processes for accurate, timely accounting across jurisdictions.
Deliver high-quality standalone and consolidated financial reports in line with statutory regulations and global accounting standards.
- Ensure compliance with intercompany eliminations, transfer pricing, and related party disclosures.
Compliance:
- Oversee compliance with direct/indirect tax, Company Secretarial, and regulatory requirements across all jurisdictions.
- Lead global tax planning and manage international structuring in the most efficient and compliant manner.
Leadership & Team Management:
- Build and scale a high-performing finance function with global reach.
- Standardize internal processes and implement robust internal controls and SOPs.
- Collaborate with leaders across product, operations, technology, and commercial teams to drive alignment.
Investor Relations:
- Serve as the finance point-of-contact for investors and board members.
- Lead all reporting, financial modelling, and presentation materials for fundraising and investor updates.
- Prepare for potential IPO and long-term investor relations planning.
Treasury & Capital Management
- Manage cash flow, working capital, treasury operations, and investment strategies.
- Ensure optimal capital allocation and liquidity across the group.
Technology & Financial Systems
- Champion digital transformation in finance, including ERP, AI-based forecasting, and automation tools.
- Drive adoption of scalable, secure financial systems across the group.
- Implement best practices in data protection and cyber-resilience in financial operations.
Required Qualifications
- Chartered Accountant (CA), CPA, or equivalent professional qualification.
- 8-15 years of progressive finance experience, ideally in international environments.
- Insurance or fintech industry experience strongly preferred.
- Strong technical skills in financial reporting and compliance.
- Proven leadership in building, managing, and scaling finance teams globally.
- Experience working across multi-jurisdictional structures and international tax regulations.
- Excellent communication, analytical, and stakeholder management skills.
- Passion for innovation, entrepreneurship, and commercial impact.
