Job Title : Director - Finance

Overview:
- We are looking for an experienced and dynamic Finance Director to lead financial operations for the India office of a global investment and financial services organization. The ideal candidate will manage key finance functions including FP&A, Accounting, Taxation, and Regulatory Reporting, and act as the primary finance liaison with global leadership.
- This is a strategic leadership role requiring excellent financial acumen, strong governance, and an ability to operate in a fast-paced, matrixed environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Team Leadership & Governance:
- Lead and mentor teams across FP&A, Accounting, Tax, and Regulatory functions.
- Align local finance operations with global standards and business strategy.
Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A):
- Manage budgeting, forecasting, and performance analysis.
- Deliver actionable insights to support global strategic decisions.
Accounting & Compliance:
- Oversee monthly/quarterly closings per Indian and US accounting standards.
- Ensure internal controls, accuracy, and compliance with policies.
Taxation:
- Manage direct and indirect tax compliance in India.
- Work with external consultants and internal teams to optimize tax positions.
Regulatory & Statutory Reporting:
- Ensure timely and accurate submission of regulatory filings.
- Stay updated on local regulatory changes and adapt business practices accordingly.
Stakeholder Management:
- Act as the point of contact between India and global leadership.
- Partner with HR, Legal, Operations, and other global teams on cross-functional initiatives.
Risk Management:
- Support internal and external audits.
- Strengthen financial governance, risk, and compliance frameworks.
Qualifications:
- Chartered Accountant (CA) or CPA required; MBA in Finance preferred.
- Minimum 15 years of experience in finance, with 10+ years in leadership roles.
- Experience in global/matrixed environments, preferably in investment management, asset management, or financial services.
- Strong knowledge of Indian tax and regulatory frameworks.
- Exposure to US GAAP and international reporting standards is an advantage.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills.
