Director - FIG Coverage - Domestic Boutique Investment Banking

Key Responsibilities:

- Originate and execute Equity Capital Markets transactions across the Financial Institutions Group (FIG) sector, including banks, NBFCs, insurance companies, asset management firms, fintechs, housing finance companies, and other financial services entities.

- Develop and maintain relationships with promoters, CXOs, and key decision-makers within financial institutions and related businesses.

- Identify opportunities for IPOs, QIPs, rights issues, follow-on offerings, block deals, strategic stake sales, and other capital-raising transactions.

- Drive client coverage initiatives and build a robust sector-specific pipeline within the financial services ecosystem.

- Advise clients on capital structure, capital adequacy requirements, equity fundraising strategies, valuation, market positioning, and transaction timing.

- Coordinate with internal product teams including Investment Banking, M&A, Institutional Equities, Research, and Debt Capital Markets to deliver integrated solutions.

- Prepare and deliver client presentations, pitch books, market updates, and transaction proposals.

- Lead due diligence processes and manage interactions with legal advisors, auditors, regulators, rating agencies, and other stakeholders.

- Monitor industry trends, regulatory developments, and market dynamics impacting the banking, insurance, NBFC, and broader financial services sectors.

- Mentor junior team members and support business development efforts to strengthen and expand the firm's FIG franchise.

Relevant Skills, Knowledge & Experience:

- 12-15 years of experience with key focus on Financial Institutions Group (FIG) in Investment Banking.

- Should have a strong track record of successful deal closures and pipeline in the required sector.

- Expert knowledge on Information memorandum, financial modeling, and valuation principles.

- Ability to spot emerging trends and accordingly work with cross-functional teams.

- Eye for detail with ability to simultaneously manage multiple transactions.

- Entrepreneurial attitude, ability to lead the team, build team morale & engagement.

- Fee revenue generation and new clients' acquisition.

- Building relationships with key players and CXO/ decision makers in the sector.
